A 51-year-old guy in Florida was arrested for threatening to shoot his neighbor AND their dog, because the neighbor was using a leaf blower at 7:45 A.M. When the guy made the threats he was only wearing a robe . . . and a holster.

A guinea pig in North Carolina named Coco could be a world record holder soon for most tricks in under a minute. He did 18 tricks in 60 seconds on Monday. His owner is just waiting for Guinness to certify it. She says he'll probably retire after this, because he's been losing interest the past few months. He knows about 70 different tricks.

Firefighters in Indianapolis rescued a teenager from a tree the other day. He climbed it to rescue a cat, and got stuck 35 feet up. Luckily he's fine other than a few scrapes. Firefighters said the cat made no effort to come down and seemed like it was enjoying itself. So they just left it alone. A tree trimmer eventually got it down though.

Lots of restaurants are offering discounts or free stuff for veterans today. Here are some of the best deals out there . . .

1. Outback Steakhouse is giving out free Bloomin' Onions to veterans. That's like a week's worth of delicious calories. You can also get a free Coke, which pairs well with 17,000 grams of sodium.
2. Starbucks is running its annual Veterans Day special where veterans, active-duty military, and military spouses get a free small . . . a.k.a. "tall" . . . hot coffee.
3. Dunkin' is giving out a free donut to veterans, no purchase necessary. And Krispy Kreme is offering a free donut AND coffee.
4. Other restaurants offering deals for vets today include Olive Garden, Buffalo Wild Wings, IHOP, Texas Roadhouse, Denny's, Applebee's, California Pizza Kitchen, Chili's, and Ho***rs. Basically, most chain restaurants have some sort of deal.

The mornings will be a little colder after we fall back this Sunday. So here's a question: In general, would you rather be too cold, or too hot?

Of the people who answered a new poll, 45% said they'd rather be too hot . . . and 55% would rather be too cold. (16% said they "don't know," so we didn't include that group.)

The only demographic that would rather be hot than cold is OLDER people. 52% of people over 55 years old said they'd rather be hot.

Daylight Saving Time ends THIS Sunday morning at 2:00 A.M. The good news is that you "gain" an hour . . . and get an extra hour of sleep that night. The bad news is that it's more clock-changing, and Americans are OVER IT.

In a new poll, 63% of people want to eliminate Daylight Saving Time FOREVER. Just 16% want it to continue, and 21% "aren't sure." Probably because they don't remember why we're even doing it in the first place.

The idea, ages ago, was to align "waking hours" to "daylight hours," but with technological advances and globalization, it has seemingly become more disruptive than beneficial.
