Went to the shooting range today! 💥💥💥

Celebrated dad's birthday (it's tomorrow) and punched some paper as he called it.

It was nice spending some quality time with him and having him there since he's a retired police officer.

We shot a few pistols and a rifle.

It's definitely a hobby we want to take up and a much needed skill to have.

The place we went to was really nice and everyone was very friendly.

Can't wait to go back and continue getting better and more confident.

BOISE RIVER/THE GREENBELT AND AN OLD FASHIONED ICE CREAM AND SODA SHOP.

It was our first time going to check out the Boise River that flows through downtown Boise all the way down close to where we work and beyond.

It was moving quick!

Can't wait to float down it in the summer ☀️

Saw a lot of Canadian geese, and the flowers were starting to bloom.

Checked out a 100 year old Bridge and a marker that represented where pioneers of the Oregon Trail used to camp.

Then we went to Hyde Park in Boise and stopped at a cute soda fountain/ice cream shop.

Got an Oreo Shake and a Root Beer Float 🍺 they were delicious!

Can't wait to explore more of the miles and miles of the Boise Greenbelt, visit Goodys again, and check out more of the historic area of Hyde Park.

What an absolutely magical day at The Bogus Basin Ski Resort!!⛷️🏂

The sun was shining and even though there was snow on the ground, it was so warm!!

We got really cozy on their reclining chairs (almost fell asleep at one point) and watched all the skiing and snowboarding going on!

Both of us are chomping at the bit to get out there now and snowboard ourselves😍

The vibe up there is really relaxed and everyone seems to be so peaceful just being there in the fresh air and sunshine 🌞

We also checked out their awesome gift shop and got some coffee at the little restaurant lodge.

This was a much needed, soul cleansing time for us🩵💜

Ashley's dad got us this gorgeous painting from as an anniversary present.

Jesus walking on water.

As soon as I opened the box and saw his face, I became overwhelmed with emotion.

You can feel something radiating off of this painting.

It is a powerful work of art.

Can't wait to hang it on the wall.

Jesus has saved our lives.

He found us in the depths of our spiritual hell, dusted us off, and said, "Follow me."

Our lives haven't been the same since.

Even if you don't believe, like we do, I promise you, he loves you, is watching you, wants the best for you, and is there waiting for you.

This painting is so mesmerizing.

Remember, Jesus loves you. No matter what.

And so do we.

Thank you Walter, thank you, dad. You have no idea how much this means to us.

It's nice to have family here in Idaho.

Especially people who are so lovely, supporting and want the best for us.

Ashley's brother surprised us, coming home from West Point for spring break.

It was such an amazing and special surprise.

He is literally the best.

He is and will do such amazing things with his life.

It's inspiring being around him and seeing how committed he is to his studies, training and representing West Point in such a positive way.

We are so incredibly proud of him.

Love listening to his stories about school and learning about what he is doing there and what they have to go through.

I could talk to him for hours. He has such a good head on his shoulders and a great heart.

Can't wait to watch him become an officer in the Army and do big things once he gets out of school in a few years.

He is the best 18 year old I've ever been around.

Looking forward to when he comes back home again, so hopefully, we can go on some fun adventures together.

Being close to grandmas and knowing everyone is so close by has really helped make this transition seamless.

We have a solid support system here.

Family is so important.

Especially family who want you to be around, accepts and understands you.

We are grateful God has brought us up here.

Went for a little drive and stumbled upon the Black Canyon dam.

Drove through the little town of Emmett.

Where the water is coming from is a huge river that would be fun for paddleboarding or kayaking.

Look forward to going back, taking a Subway sandwich, and enjoying being with nature away from the city and people.

I missed going on random drives and coming across new things.

It was nice driving through the hills, by farmland, and seeing horses, goats, cows, and huge longhorns.

May go to the mountains next week and see what's going on up there.

🚨Treasure Valley Idaho Here We Come! 🎉

We are moving to Meridian Idaho!

Meridian is a suburb of Boise.

It isn't an easy decision, but there are a lot of reasons for us to leave California.

We left once in 2015 and moved to Washington for 5 years.

Came back home during the pandemic, and it's time to leave again.

It became apparent really quickly that car life isn't for us.

We are glad we tried it, so we can say we did.

But it's time to stop being silly, messing around, and not thinking about the long term.

Idaho is safe, full of opportunity, a place we can see ourselves having kids, all four seasons, beautiful nature, and a lot more to do than you'd think.

It checks all of our boxes.

It's close to family and good friends.

A place to get serious about life and our future.

It is time to focus on becoming actual adults and not be grown children running around seeking adventure instead of security.

Living in the car has really changed our perspective and outlook on life.

We were taking advantage of life and not taking things seriously.

We always wanted to move and live somewhere else. We researched places from Nevada, Arizona, Tennessee, Texas, and even Utah.

But Idaho was the place that checked all the boxes.

We are excited about this new chapter. To settle down roots, plan for the long term, possibly start a family and move up to be managers.

It's exciting to have a plan and be planning for a real future. Not hoping for social media or some internet business to take off.

But become managers, and possibly one day open up our own restaurant, buy land and build a tiny home on it.

Bigger, longer lasting, more fulfilling dreams and life.

Thank you to everyone we have told for all the encouraging words and positive vibes about this new exciting chapter we are about to embark on.

A beautiful sunset at Aliso Creek Beach 💙💜

This beach has been one of the "go-to" spots ever since we can remember.

There used to be bonfire pits back in the day, and going there at night was (and is still) always so magical✨️

Now we get to go here with each other, which makes it a dream come true!

God is far more interested in what you are than what you do.

God only cares about what is in your heart.

Your career/job, the amount of money in bank account, flash material objects - none of them matter to him.

We get so caught up in being approved and worthy in the eyes of the world.

We have completely forgotten about being approved and worthy of him. Which is all that matters.

Good works won't get you into heaven. Thinking you're a "good person" aka self-righteous WILL NOT get you into heaven.

Trusting in Jesus and giving your life over to him will radically transform your life, your future, and your eternity.

Your heart and your faith are all he is asking for.

These 3 books will be the introduction to the new chapter of our lives.

Bought Ashley, this beautiful Women's Study Bible that puts an emphasis on the women of the Bible and relatable stories about life for women.

It's like a textbook style Bible with a lot more context and information to help you better understand what you're reading and what's going on.

It's fun watching her get excited and want to share all the things she's learning and finds interesting.

Highly recommend this Bible to any of the ladies out there. It's 10/10.

The Every Man's Bible for me to help me on my journey to he better man for God. To learn all that I can to help others, especially other men, become better for themselves, their loved ones, community, and most importantly, God.

When I was little, church was very much a thing. My dad became a pastor of a church in San Bernardino when I was 10 (now about to turn 35), and he is still the pastor of that church.

I turned away from God in my late teens and thought I could do it by myself, the world's way, and life has been a struggle every since.

I know God is real and has shown grace on me because of the wife he gave me.

She is the reason I know God is real. She is my angel. There is no doubt about that.

The Purpose Driven Life is meant for both of us to sit with God and relign ourselves with what his purpose is for us in this lifetime and how we go about making that happen.

We've always wanted to help people, inspire others, and share our story. We've especially always wanted to help kids/teenagers because we struggle so much during those ages.

Perhaps going around talking about Jesus/God, teaching, and helping to inspire others seems to be what we have always been called to do.

This book will be a powerful starting point to get us moving in the right direction of our purpose.

My hope is that we will be able to get across Jesus's message to people in a way they can understand it in this day and age.

I have lived the worldly way for about 20 years of my life. Looking for the answers, meanings, and comforts of life and the world. It was a road of struggle, pain, anger.
