I look forward to this event every year as it's one of my favorites! S'Mores & Pours is a benefit for my client, Camp Encourage, and the community of autistic youth they serve here in Kansas City.

It was an amazing night that brings wonderful people with big hearts together to support our sweet campers. Thank you to all of our sponsors, volunteers, staff for Camp Encourage and Trisha at Taking Bids Fundraising for making our 10th Anniversary incredible!

Last year, I was asked to write a blog for Nonprofit Connect: Network. Learn. Grow. about my business and why I decided to change the trajectory of it to work exclusively with nonprofits.

Today, Harper is 2 1/2 and I just can't believe it. Where has the time gone!?

Her vocabulary has exploded in the last month and she cracks us up every day with things she says. We're still working on potty training (pray for us please!). And aside from that, we've been hanging out with friends and family a lot and enjoying time at the pool.

Harper, you are such a sweet, sassy little girl and we couldn't love you more! Happy half birthday, little one.

📸: Some of these were taken by my amazing cousin, Duane Wilkinson!

In November, I signed up for the Run The Year 2024 Challenge. For those of you who don't know, this is a fitness challenge that spans the entire year. You can choose between 500, 1000, 1500 or the full 2,024 miles. You can build a team and split up the miles or do it all yourself with a combination of running, walking, biking and swimming. It's your challenge, you choose what to do.

This year, my goal is 1,000 miles. I'm so excited that I'm almost half way there!

May has absolutely flown by! We took a trip to Colorado to surprise my aunt for her 80th birthday and also celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary!

In our almost 11 years of being together, Mike and I have been through a lot. We've lived in 3 different states, adopted a dog (who's almost 9.5 now! 🤯), bought a house, have put A TON of work into it and brought our wonderful daughter, Harper, into the world. And through it all, he has been my rock. I couldn't ask for a better partner in life, supporter of my work-from-home business or father to our crazy, sassy toddler. I love you so much, babe!

Today, May 1st, is 501c Day! A day pioneered by my friends at Nonprofit Connect: Network. Learn. Grow. to celebrate the heart of the nonprofit sector in Kansas City.

I wanted to take this opportunity to highlight the nonprofits I work with: Camp Encourage and Sleepyhead Beds.

The mission of Camp Encourage is to provide youth on the autism spectrum meaningful experiences in which they build the knowledge, courage, and skills to be empowered participants in the community. They offer overnight camps four times a year as well as connection outings and other opportunities. This is an AMAZING organization that constantly impresses me with their attention to detail, understanding and passion for what they do and who they serve.

The mission of Sleepyhead Beds is to improve the quality of life for children and their families by providing clean, reusable beds and bedding. Over the past year of working with this organization, I'm so impressed with how much waste they have diverted from our landfills and how many beds they have provided to children here in Kansas City. After all, it's more than a bed- It's hope, security and relief to so many people who want nothing more than to call something their own.

If you want to support some amazing nonprofits, please like, follow their social accounts or get involved with their organization! We're always looking for volunteers!

Happy Easter everyone! 🐰✝️🙏

We celebrated with a wonderful service at church, followed by brunch and an egg hunt with friends. No pics of the egg hunt because Harper was much more interested in the landscaping rocks. 😂

Three years ago today, I put in my two weeks notice at my 9-5. I took a part-time job at Whole Foods which allowed me to meet with potential clients and start growing my business during the day. One month into my new job, I found out we were expecting. I was pregnant my last week at my 9-5 but didn't know it yet!

My husband and I knew we wanted to start a family but I couldn't fathom working all day away from my little one just to just pay for day care. There must to be a better way. So I started my work from home, super flexible, Social Media Management company, Lindsey Kay Consulting, LLC.

To all of those who have made this dream a reality, thank you. Thank you for helping me stay home with our little girl, to be there for all of her milestones and help me provide for my family. Thank you for taking a chance on me as a new business owner. Thank you for allowing me to help your dreams grow and for helping grow mine. Thank you, Print & Ship KC, Tru Imagery, LLC, More Than A Meal, HaysDraper & Associates at KW Kansas City Metro, Joseph Quero, Fixit Tim's Automotive, Camp Encourage and Sleepyhead Beds.

I look forward to what the next year brings for my family and my business.

This is the 4th year that I'll be doing this challenge. The last time I did it was 2021. In April we found out we were pregnant and though I still worked out, sciatica pain was debilitating. So much that I ended up getting a Cortisone shot in August of 2022 so that I could enjoy simple things like walking more than 10 minutes without limping. It wore off but I finally found relief thanks to Renuva Back and Pain Centers.

This year, my goal is 1,000 miles. I will be counting all steps towards this goal and hope to drop the 26-ish pounds of baby weight. I'm excited to move intentionally throughout the year and get my energy and confidence back. I'm done making excuses. LET'S GO!

Christmas is always hectic but when your little girl is born 4 days before... it's even more of a blur!

Grandma Judy came to visit for a week and we went to see Santa (not as successful this year!), opened gifts, ate birthday cake (she didn't like the candle being lit- see picture), baked cookies and played A LOT! We had so much fun! Then we headed to my parents house to celebrate all over again. It was basically 2.5 weeks of opening gifts which means ORGANIZE is Mommy's word for 2024. 😀

Whether it's your sassy personality or new things you say or do, you make us laugh every day, Harper Mae. You love all animals and often greet them before other humans. I love watching you get up and immediately look for Stanley so you can snuggle him. Your bond and love for each other melts my heart!

We hope you had a wonderful TWO WILD birthday, sweet girl. We are so excited to see how much you learn and grow over the next year. We love you so much!
