April 4th, 2024. Celebrating 50 years of life. 50x around the sun. Life at 50 has much to be grateful for: A beautiful loving 🥰wife, two wonderful daughters, an inspiring house to call home, a new life still blooming into fruition in Spain. And most amazing of all, I would have predicted NONE of it at 40!! There is a lot to be thankful for and there is a lot of struggle day to day to keep finding my way even with all my abundance. But this post is to celebrate life in its totality. A warm loving greeting to all my people out there who have known me and supported me through my journey in life. I love you all!

DRUNKEN MONKEY – THE R.I.P. REMIX COLLECTION

It’s been a few years since Drunken Monkey’s last release, another popular remix collection called Motown Remixed, and he is finally back with a career defining collection of songs that fully represent his musical abilities and proclivities over the past 25 years in the musical game. Since his very start DJing in 1993, Drunken Monkey, has been exploring every style of music that called out and inspired him. In this release we hear Funk, Dub, House, Breaks, Drum & Bass, Trip-Hop, Soul, Pop and more influences all come together seamlessly song after song. They stand together as a testament to a fully matured musical force that never sought easy definition and flat out refused pigeon-holes. It is also a swan song of sorts as the musical talent behind Drunken Monkey, Daniel Lippincott, officially puts the beloved moniker to rest.

This last Drunken Monkey release compiles material that has primarily appeared on other record labels, although some songs are enjoying their debut, and brings them all together for the first time in one place and time. While taking a listen you can learn more about the songs featured and if you feel moved, you can purchase downloads of individual songs you love OR the whole damn collection.
