After 18 Years I have taken the difficult decision to streamline Wamp and realign its focus.
For over 18 Years Wamp has been a presence in the Miniature painting community. From a lowly eBay group with half a dozen members to one of the most prominent forums in the hobby.
The forum became renowned for its monthly contests run in conjunction with the best in the business,the likes of Privateer Press, Hasslefree Minis, Kingdom Death and Dark Sword Miniatures among those collaborating with us.
We have raised thousands for charity through campaigns like Little Angels
We launched Portal magazine, a digital offering that became the No1 Free magazine for miniature painters with over 500,000 downloads.
We launches our own range of Paintbrushes which have sold in their thousands and continue to.
We ran 2 successful kick-starters bringing in almost £100,000
We ran 2 great Wamp Live events drawing in brilliant Painters from Britain and Europe.
We then launched the Wampstore which has almost 2000 product lines from over 60 manufacturers.
But times are changing, social media has had a huge impact on forum behaviour and my own personal circumstances are different now to what they once were.
And so I have decided now is the time to evolve Wamp for the future. In the coming weeks things will change:
The Wamp Forum will be archived
Portal Magazine will be archived and all issue will be added to the store to continue to be downloaded
The Wampstore will cease selling products from other manufacturers and will become an own brand store.
It will continue to sell the Select Series brush range, Fusion bases and Purgatory Miniatures as well as our other Wamp brand items.
The store will look to expand its own range of bases, plinths and scenics.
This has been a very difficult decision but it will allow me to focus my time on certain aspects of the Wamp family.
I am extremely proud of what Wamp has achieved in its near 2 decades and I am excited on what the future will bring.
In the next few days we will begin selling off all the non Wamp products in store so keep an eye out for that
I thank each and every one of you that has contributed to the forum and magazine over the years, you guys made Wamp what it is and I hope you continue to support us going forward
