An Irish pub in Miramichi recently became the backdrop for a new sitcom starring a local comedian and written by a former employee to poke fun at the restaurant industry.

Two adult brothers have been displaced following a weekend fire that destroyed their home in the Upper Miramichi rural community.

The Upper Miramichi Fire Department and other emergency crews responded to a structure fire Saturday at 11 p.m. on Hunter Road in Astle, a rural area near Boiestown. Two adult brothers were displaced, according to the Canadian Red Cross.
