Since starting my online business and crossing over into entrepreneurial life, having a structured morning routine has been crucial for me.
Here’s why ✨👇
1️⃣ Implementing routine leads to success~ busyness of mum life can sometimes mean I can’t carry out my morning routine straight away. But I do find the earlier I can prioritise it the better my day leads out. What works best for me most mornings is sitting down either before the kids wake or more frequently doing it with breakfast. I sit with the children at the table with a coffee, while they eat and fill in my gratitude journal, think about my goals for the day and plan out how best to achieve them.
2️⃣ Grounding in gratitude ~ as I mentioned I get out my gratitude journal each morning. This will immediately turn my mindset around. Even if I’m feeling tired or unmotivated, I find sitting down and listing out 3 things I’m grateful for will put things into perspective. This may sound abit woo woo, but honestly, if you really think about it, being grateful is fundamental to living a fuller, richer life.
3️⃣ Goal setting ~ part of my gratitude journal goes through setting goals for the day ahead and how best to implement them. Setting small achievable goals for your day ahead is the route to a successful, well accomplished day. I find that I keep things realistic based on what I have to do that day but having a sense achievement when I tick them off really keeps me routed and motivated.
4️⃣ Measure your progress ~ Recognising the goals I hit day in day out is fundamental to keeping track of the progress I make each day. Even when I feel like nothing has been achieved or things aren’t moving as quickly as I would hope, reminding myself of what I did achieve and how far I’ve come along the way is the most fulfilling part 🙌
Keep it simple, set up a morning routine that works for you. My advice is to try and do it before any other distractions come up and then you lose time to do it. After a few weeks it becomes a habit, when it’s a habit it becomes a routine
