The Soothing Sounds of Spring
Polarized Timelapse
-*Clouds on the Community Lake*-
The sky was dramatic today after an intense round of storms overnight. The sunset illuminated the clouds with vibrant colors as their reflection rolled across the community lake. In the bottom left corner of the frame; you can see a Blue Heron making his way down the bank poking around for some bullfrogs. The geese end the scene with a single file line heading to their roost for the evening. This was a splendid Lifescape to witness & be a part of.

Family Fun Day
-*Family Fun Day*-
-*Watkins Mill State Park*-
People were out at the lake despite the "not so" sunny weather. Fathers & Mothers, Grandpa's & Grandma's, Brothers & Sisters were out hiking biking, & boating this Memorial Day weekend. Memories made with family will never be forgotten; just like the loved ones we've lost that honored our country & kept us safe at home.

Blue Hour on the Community Lake
-*Blue Hour on the Community Lake*-
If you harbor a passion for photography, you may already be well-acquainted with the magical light that appears during the so-called golden hour. However, there's another time of day that also has the power to make photographers and other artists sigh, the blue hour. The blue hour typically occurs for about 40 minutes twice a day; once right before the sun pops up in the morning and once right after the sun dips below the horizon following the evening sunset. The reason the hue is so overwhelmingly blue is because the Earth's pre-sunrise and post-sunset atmosphere only receives and scatters the sun's shorter blue wavelengths. Meanwhile, the sun's longer red wavelengths pass on into space without reaching the planet's surface.

Missouri River Timelapse
-*Blue Hour on the Missouri River*-
-*Cooley Lake River Access*-
The weather this evening was pleasant & lovely as the "Blue Hour" set in over the river. Gorgeous tones of blues & purples softly painted the sky after the sun had went below the horizon. It was a splendid evening to be out walking the banks of the Mighty Missouri River.
