Sophisticated and sprawling, the incredible installation ‘Once Upon A Forest’ by architecture studio OBMI at this year’s makes us stop and think. The installation takes its inspiration from the UAE’s most significant environmental asset, the mangrove forest, currently the focus of multiple green initiatives to protect and preserve them. Made by carbon-neutral wood and bamboo and bound by natural fibres, the organic structure is canopied by a mesh net that seems to float ethereally above it.
