Hundreds of emotional messages drove news coverage for RSL Queensland with a 7m long interactive poppy wall and art show in the middle of the Queen Street Mall.

Black Raven Media worked closely with RSL to create elements within the Brisbane CBD that would have a positive and emotional impact. The public were encouraged to write messages of thanks and gratitude on a poppy and stick it on the 7m long wall, creating emotional connections to the activation.

The commemorative art installation displayed images and stories of different war periods in history, bringing the activation to life and encouraging reflection on Australia’s history and all that has been sacrificed.

Emphasising ‘remember to remember’, we created a QR code and landing page where scanners could fill in their details and be given a list of Remembrance Day events closest to them to add to their calendar.

62 promotional staff, 50,000 consumer interactions, 12 days at 27 refund points and incredibly valuable consumer insights reported daily directly to the client! ♻️🚮🧃

To implement the addition of glass wine and spirit bottles to the range of eligible 10-cent refund containers, we staffed reverse vending machines from Noosa to Tugun and everywhere in between.

Our staff were trained in the lead up to the start date to ensure they were well equipped to educate consumers, handle potential machine issues and ensure every customer left the machine happy.

Across the 12 days, staff greeted all customers, shared key information about Containers for Change and the scheme expansion and resolved all machine issues.

Throughout the campaign, we complied feedback and insights about both the machines and customer experiences/feedback that has been extremeley valueable to Containers for Change and something they didn’t expect to gain from the exercise.

We took Flight Centre’s ‘Captain’s Pack’ to the sky in some of Australia’s busiest locations, capturing attention and achieving mass reach. The giant pack hanging from a crane was impossible to ignore and generated interest and awareness across Australia.

Alongside the pack, we held a paper plane throwing competition in each market which drove positive engagement and interaction. With a prize of $20,000 per city, this simple mechanic saw people of all ages and walks of life getting involved by making and throwing their paper planes ✈️

1,700 competition entries by giving away 500 free bubble teas & the chance to win flights for 2! ✈️🧋

Black Raven Media celebrated EVA Air’s 30th Birthday by giving away 500 free bubble teas and holding a competition for free flights. By offering a valuable exchange for email sign ups, we captured first party data from 1,700 people across four hours!

In reference to the Taiwanese tradition to get three wishes on your birthday, we gave everyone a wish in celebration of Eva Air. We set up a wishing well and had tokens labelled with countries available to throw in so people could wish for their next holiday destination. This simple mechanic saw people from all walks of life engaging with the activation.

Not only did this activation drive awareness of Eva Air and get their brand in the minds of the target audience, but we also drove consideration and conversion through highlighting the brand’s point of difference and their piping hot sales!

12,855 free Subs, 2,500kms travelled and 18 activations across 3 states with games, music and free merch. We met so many amazing people who engaged with the activations and were sad to see us move on to the next town.

The Sub Bus was impossible to ignore when it was taken to the streets, so it definitely highlighted what ‘bigger-er’ represents as nothing is bigger and has more value than a footlong. Plus we brought a little friend along for the ride.

What's “sub” spelt backwards? That's right, you guessed it...

Don’t miss this unique experience!

🐾 Collected first party data of 407 dog owners
🐾 Created a bank of content for Budget Direct’s socials
🐾 Met 3,500+ dogs and owners
🐾 Facilitated positive brand experiences

By strategically targeting Paws at the Park, a Gold Coast based dog market event, Black Raven Media intercepted key moments between pet owners and their dogs to capture leads and generate content for social media.

Black Raven Media set up a branded market stall that included a prize wheel, photo opportunity, puppuccino and hot chocolate cart and interview area. Attendees were invited to spin the wheel to win a prize in exchange for an online entry to win a $500 Pet Stock gift card.

Across the day, we captured valuable content for Budget Direct’s socials, focusing on asking pet owners to tell their ‘silly dog tale’ in the form of either a video interview or for us to write down and share with a photo of their dog.

By incentivising engagement and creating memorable moments through a value exchange, we increased Budget Direct’s email database and created positive brand interactions.

Are you looking to build your email database or collect information about a targeted group?

At Griffith University Open Day, over 174 people completed a survey about the university values that matter to them, and many more engaged with our interactive displays.

Across both the Gold Coast and Nathan campuses, Black Raven Media worked with Griffith University to bring to life ‘Moments That Matter’ during their Open Days.

We displayed art pieces on large-scale plinths for visitors to enjoy, set up eye-catching digital banners, produced a landing page with a lead form for visitors to offer their opinions on values that matter to them, and installed an interactive display for future Griffith students to share their ideas on improving the student experience.
