Since the new horse ranch expansion I’ve been playing vanilla (no mods or cc installed) and I’ve fallen in love with sims 4 all over again.
I had become so reliant on mods and cc in my game (nearly 5000 items, and I’m just a newbie to the mods and cc life) that I realised I’m not actually playing the sims 4 to its full potential.
Playing vanilla, I’m discovering what the game and various packs offer in gameplay, not to mention not having to deal with a laggy game, better exception notifications and constantly having to update various mods and cc.
Now don’t get me wrong I am missing my mods and literally having withdrawal (yes mods & cc addiction is real simmers 🤦🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️)mods like SNB bank mod, real estate, wicked whims and 51 lot doorbell have become staple in my game, so being without them has taken some getting used to.
I will say that the horse ranch expansion has kept me entertained and I’m thoroughly enjoying horse’s being in the game.

I’m challenging myself to see how long I can play without any mods. 🤦🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️

I wonder if other simmers go through this and if so how do you manage mods and cc in your game?

A trip down memory lane when Marie and Shannon were renting a small apartment in San Myshuno:
🌃 Last night was a whirlwind of emotions as Shannon and I spent our final evening in our small rented apartment in San Myshuno. It's hard to believe that our city-dwelling days are coming to an end, but we're embarking on a new and completely different lifestyle that fills our hearts with excitement and hope! 🌟

🏞️ From the bustling streets and towering skyscrapers of the city, we're now venturing to the serene and picturesque landscapes of Chestnut Ridge. Our dear friend Steven Brimley joins us in this grand adventure, as we bid farewell to the hustle and bustle and embrace the beauty of rural living.

🥂 As we sipped our favorite nectar and reminisced about all the memorable moments we've had in San Myshuno, I couldn't help but feel a touch of nostalgia. Our cozy apartment, filled with laughter and shared dreams, has been our haven for so long.

🌌 Yet, deep down, I know we're ready for the new chapter that awaits us. The ranch, now officially named Poloma Junction, is not just a place; it's a canvas where we'll paint our dreams, where we'll grow and learn together.
