I'm having a break from the booze to raise money for Bowel Cancer Australia through the Dry July Foundation. I lost grandparents on both sides of my family to bowel cancer and sadly much younger people are more often being diagnosed.
I'm starting with a goal of raising $10 a day to mark my days without a drop. I hope you can support this worthy cause here:

Finished season 2 of The Bear last night, what a series and a beautifully appointed soundtrack to hit you in all the feels (mostly anxiety and dread of what will go wrong next🥲)
R.E.M. feature a few times in both seasons and it took me back to their Greatest Hits 1988-2003 album I received as a teen from my parents. I played that album to death. Their collection of hits covers every emotion capable in human existence from the upbeat cheery radio classics we are all familiar with, to philosophical sadness and sorrow. This one would have to be one of my favourites... cryptically melancholic. Just now I've stumbled across this live recording featuring Thom Yorke from 1998... not many songs of this mood could capture a packed stadium like this.

The last Shenanigans party was a blast!
I was super chuffed and a little nervous to be sandwiched between 2 of Newy’s best, with Jake Small opening and Costan Toumazos closing (I’m not biased, you’re biased). Plus closing out the night with a cheeky vinyl b2b with Costan Toumazos to put the sugar on top.
Best get yourself along to the next instalment on 21st October. Allesandro Tebaldi aka Teba will blow your mind on the wax. That man casually has 4 channels mixed in silky smooth, and wicked selections. Will be yet another good one!

A blast from the past. This song is now featured on the Visit Melbourne ads. Nostalgia vibes from 1999 as a child/teen waking up at 6am every Saturday before little athletics to hear my favourite flavours of the month and discover new sounds and genres. Memories of waiting with bated breath on the lounge, in front of the fireplace still burning from the night before, remote in hand, to blast the volume when something really gripped me. This was one of those songs and I'm glad it's back in rotation, albeit 24 years on. Taxiride

Excited to be asked back to play at Shenanigan’s at the Lass O'Gowrie Hotel this Saturday night! Event kicks off at 7pm. There will be 2 stages, one out in the wonderful beer garden and the other in the front bar.
