"As a simple fact, this release probably has the longest history of creation. I mean compared to my other work. And I don't really remember all the details anymore. There's been a lot of changes in sound and titles.
But maybe I wanted to create something like a soundtrack to an old skool action film or sci-fi.
In moments I paid attention to New Beat and in general to early rave scene.
Thanks to the guys from Spazio for trusting me and realising my ideas".

Producer, DJ, member of Pattern Society and resident of Zapped Berlin delivers his new EP via the latter’s affiliate imprint this July, further showcasing his sound which is synonymous with ethereal textures, stripped-back rhythms and bumpy bass lines. The concept of Zapped was incepted through this collective of artists sharing a studio space in Marzahn, Far East Berlin at Frank Zappa Strasse, inspiring the name, Zapped Records and here the Zapped Records imprint marks its third release following on from material by fellow members Rascal and Ned.
Leading the EP is title-track ‘A Story Behind’, a sonic excursion through minimalistic rhythm’s, swelling sub bass and modulating tones to create a loop-led, hypnotic opener.
‘Let’s Start It’ follows next and ups the energy levels with a swinging rhythm section, and choppy acid-tinged bass stabs intertwined with hypnotic voices and sporadic percussive flutters.
The B-Side is taken up by two remixes, the first of which comes courtesy of Fedo, the Ukrainian artist keeps the core essence of the original’s microhouse feel while stirring in his own subtly unfurling, dubbed out elements. Zurich’s Juzz then flips the switch entirely, shifting the original into a robust rhythmic workout accompanied by hazy atmospherics and oscillating synths.

Since 2007, Germany’s Christian Burkhardt has been steadily delivering his groove-led House cuts via the likes of Dorian Paic’s Raum...musik, Sven Vath’s Cocoon Recordings, East End Dubs
Eastenderz, Hottrax and of course his own CB Sessions label where he returns his with a remix package of ‘Delight’, the opening track of his debut album ‘Offenbach’ on Federico Molinari and
Nekes’ Oslo label.
Argentina’s Franco Cinelli steps up first, reshaping ‘Delight’ with his own rhythmic style layered on top of the original’s core elements. Arno and DJ Dope then switch things up entirely, delivering their ‘Magic City Mix’, fuelled by crisp electro drums, stuttering arpeggios, heavy doses of sub bass and a dynamically unfolding construction. Romania’s Mihai Popoviciu delivers what he does best next with a six minute dance floor workout, driven by subtle nuance and synth flutters atop a swinging rhythm section.
Señor Saga’s twist on ‘Delight’ follows, edging into more Balearic realms via an amalgamation of guitar grooves and organic percussion before Dan B delivers a dubbed out interpretation fuelled by spiralling echoes and a funk-infused bass groove. Lastly Christian delivers a reduced ‘Radio Edit’ of the original to round out the remix package.

The "Muy Duro" series returns this summer with the twelfth edition of the compilation. This time, the artists involved are Yotam Russo, Rina feat. Julyjuli, Theus Mago collaborating with Dominik Marz, Alvaro Cabana, and Ali X.
The compilation splendidly begins with “Lift Him Up” by Israeli artist Yotam Russo, who brilliantly combines a rhythmic section that invites you to feel the summer energy along with pianos, acid melodies, and gospel vocals. Following is the collaboration between Rina and Julyjuli, a psychedelic and immersive track with a captivating and deep bass, accompanied by electrifying synthesizers that plunge you into a trance while the voice resonates like a lost mantra.
“Bring The Feedback,” produced by Theus Mago in collaboration with Dominik Marz, is a house-oriented track that hooks you from the very first moment with its acid and elastic sounds and rhythmic elements. Spanish artist Álvaro Cabana returns to the compilation with “Integración,” a track that progressively takes you through the surrealistic bass and drum rhythm and the stuttered vocals, creating a hypnotic and lysergic sound that immerses you in a hallucinatory and enigmatic world.
Closing the compilation is “Choola” by Ali X, a track with deep and resonant basses that mixes different melodic, percussive, and vocal elements, creating a mind-blowing and accelerated atmosphere.

Originally made for documentary advertising short Report from Sarajevo, these music themes are Kornelije Kovac’s first sessions that precede the official songs, idents and audio logos he composed for the XIV Winter Olympic Games opening ceremony. "ioli" debut album, "Allo Lio", is a profound exploration of Cypriot underground pop culture, written in the heart of Nicosia, the last divided city in Europe. The album features an impressive array of vocal and instrumental collaborations with artists like x.ypno, Kasska, Evagoras Bek, Hades Militia, Cievil Momo, and Androula.
"Allo Lio" or "Ακόμα Λίγο" means "(just..) a bit more." It serves both as a promise and a request, juxtaposing love and time. This phrase describes the theme of the album, the transformation of longing into waiting.

First up we have 'Bryan Hillebrandt', an Oakland multi-instrumentalist and serial collaborator (Oakland Afternoon Ensemble, Askr, Galvagna / Hillebrandt). Bryan's take is a true textural journey and masterclass in how ambient music should flow, hints of Eno, flecks of Glass, and a smattering of Twin's more introspective work.
Next up is Absent Music's very own 'Antikue', who obliges with a more upbeat and glitched out affair, swirly beats, detuned pianos, and a build-up that would give the '45 minute waiting room crew' a real euphoric splash as it hits.
Last up on remix duties is 'New King', who worked with the band to craft his new age, afterparty in the woods, acoustic guitar rendition, adding a whole new dimension to this beautiful EP.
To round things out, we have an exclusive instrumental of the original track.

Having already garnered attention on labels like Mathematics, Tar Hollow, and Cologne Underground, here he offers his original take on a classic, driving Roland machine sound.
Echoing synth stabs float above a brawny groove. Once the sinewy bassline enters, the swing of these familiar sounds propel the energy embedded in the rhythm. It is a dynamic piece and the hi hats, prescient chords will be sure to excite both the couch bound listener as much as the early morning revelers moving in the days first glimmers of sun. Great stuff.
For the B2, veteran Miami based producer, Luis Padron, offers his trademark futuristic take on dance music using the familiar instruments of the genre. Entering with a classic Juno keyboard rhythm and a bouncing kick, Luis builds a melody and texture from haunting well reverbed accents and continuously adds drum elements. Remarkable here is the subtlety of the changes which engage the listener. It is the work of a producer in top form and fitting closer for this EP.’’

Opening the album we have Sydney's Mooglepuff, with the wonderful nostalgic glow of her 'Subtropic Vision'. Faint Waves reports in from Missouri with the hazy, dreamy 'Windward Dream' and Budapest duo Pleasure Voyage return to the label with their ode to summer 'Endless Days'. From Los Angeles, Midnight Mystery Club up the energy through their organic and groove-laden 'Church In Ibiza'. Over in Warsaw, ZAL delivers a slice of irresistible warm electronica on 'Simple & Easy'. Nicolas Kotowicz presents the late night house jam 'Ce Soir' from Russia, while the UK is represented by Lucky Sun's languid beach chiller 'Ocean Dreams', Desert Island Disco's smooth italo-house 'Te Revoir'. Rounding off the album falls to transatlantic due Tomas Malo and Joe Morris in their Acolyte guise with the anthemic, deep house 'Shame'.
