Project Roach We feel that even the small towns and remote areas should get the best in Dance Music. That activity caught the attention of IDJ Magazine.

Carmarthen is no different and we have provided this great town with some fine acts In 2006 we felt that the underground music scene in West Wales was on the verge of becoming a vibrant and exciting scene. The anticipation of that scene's growth began from the successes of legendary Drum n' Bass outlets Fat Lace and Bazooka. We believed that we could expand on their ideas and create new opportunit

ies for new acts and fans to get involved. We also provided new platforms for DJs to preform new music such as; Hip Hop and Electro House, and at that time a little known genre, Dubstep. With our brand of creative promoting and daring design, our events grew in stature and reputation. The growth came to the point where we were able to invite established DJ's to preform in West Wales. Impressed with our creativeness and ambition to explore Dubstep, they quoted to say that we were "a hotspot for forward thinking music". That article encouraged us to stay with the Dubstep approach in our events as well as supplying our crowd's demand for Drum'n'Bass and House. As Dubstep grew to be the leading genre in the underground music scene our reputation grew in the local area, attracting fans from areas like Aberystwyth and Swansea. That attention gave us a string of successful events in Trinity University's Union Bar. In those events we managed to have some of the worlds leading DJs Perform for us and create some of our best and most memorable events to date. Near the end of that era in Trinity, we felt that the interest in Dubstep and Drum n Bass was beginning to fade. With that in mind, we decided to take a break to pursue personal ambitions and come back to Project Roach at a later date. Now in 2012, we have witnessed the decay in the underground's following of both Dubstep and Drum n Bass. We feel this is a good time to explore what's fresh and new within the scene. We are encouraged by the new ideas to old sounds that are provided by new genres like Glitch Hop, Moombahton, Trap and Juke. We hope that we can add this new surge of creativity to our ever growing roster of Music.
