It's been quiet on my twitter for almost a month. I wanted to take a moment to share what happened.

A thread

Aside from being busy w/ baby stuff, my access to Twitter was restricted. The short end of it is, Elon Musk is a bigot and a hypocrite. Let me explain.

Last month during pride month, a user posted a disgusting video (also expressing how fu**ed up it was) of someone using their truck to burn tire marks into a rainbow crosswalk. As a response (and as a staunch defender of the LBGTQ community) I posted this.

APPARENTLY, expressing a desire for something bad to happen to SOMEONE'S TRUCK is the same as expressing a desire to abuse, harass, or encourage other people to do those things TO A PERSON. I appealed the restriction and they immediately denied it without any further explanation. When I appealed it again with a request for clarification, they let it just sit in limbo for a month.

I've openly expressed my disgust for this platform for a while now, and it's only gotten worse since then. I also learned that not only is Elon transphobic (evidenced by this joke of a restriction when literal n***s are allowed to say whatever they want on this platform,) but he even has a trans daughter who legally severed ties with him due to his strong and deeply offensive anti trans stances. What makes this hypocritical is he took over Twitter not just as a small dick energy flex, but to "be a champion of free speech." He is NOT a good dude.

I deleted my original post specifically so I could share how deeply concerned I am of this platform, and to HOPEFULLY encourage anyone actively spending money on ads, or this joke of "Twitter Blue" to just stop. Stop funneling any kind of money into this cesspool.

If it wasn't evident before, it should be plainly obvious now how he moves and the conscious decisions he makes to make this platform worse with each boneheaded, compulsive move.

If you aren't a content creator, artist, or celebrity looking to connect with fans, I'd dip. Make somewhere else your home for social media.

This post/thread will likely be removed for the aforementioned reasons. But I'll be posting this on every other platform to help spread awareness of just how fu**ed up things are over here.
