Faith Leadership Journal has an online circulation of approximately 30,000. The founder, Gregg L. Greer, stated that he wanted to "plant the evangelical flag in the middle-of-the-road, taking the conservative theological position but a definite Liberation Theological approach to social problems". Bishop Greer is starting a magazine as counterpoint to Journal, the predominant independent periodical and as a way to bring the evangelical Christian community together.
