( ) is giving away 2 free verses to DCPS kids that show they received honor roll first quarter.

We are gonna follow suit. Any kid who is an aspiring artist, creative, photographer, etc and can show proof they received honor roll last quarter will get an article on our blog + a post (and maybe an interview)

KP is always tryna give back to the youth and help out his community and we hope some fellow dmv/ Baltimore artists will follow his lead 🏆

Orgin Story

Chesapeake, VA.

SHIFT. The idea was incepted on January 20th, 2016 at a Grassfield soccer practice with Kyle Staub and Andrew Delgado. The team was having a great season and became a hot topic around school. Staub dubbed themselves as "The Shift Team," due to their style of play, attitude and energy during their season. The saying infectiously spread throughout the team, then the throughout the school and eventually the city. The aura of "The Shift Team" was amplified as the season continued and the boys kept winning. They had one goal in mind; making it to States. After Grassfield made it to the state semi's, Kyle and Del were dubbed "The Shift Team" by the local newspaper and their presence was known.

The Duo then headed to The University North Florida for their freshman year, continuing to carry this montra of "SHIFT" with them. An attitude and identity that was unidentifiable by the public but internally prominent. They both quickly realized that wasn't the school for them. Andrew moved back to South Carolina to regroup and spend some time with his family, while Kyle transferred to small private school outside Philadelphia, Neumann University, to continue his soccer career.

During the winter break of 2016, Staub decided he wanted to turn SHIFT into something more than just a word his friends would know him for. He had always been into fashion and decided to start making some clothes under the name VA SHIFT. Staub and Delgado gathered up some money and bought 100 T-shirts, selling them locally to friends and family. Surprisingly, they sold out really fast. Staub continued to think about what SHIFT really was and what it could become. Thoughts started piling up in his head and he eventually cemented a solid foundation on what was to come.
