The University of Arizona’s Hanson Film Institute and Film Tucson, aka the Tucson Film Office, a department of Visit Tucson, are pleased to announce their collaboration on a series of film and TV industry panels for the Tucson community. The Inside Track Panels will feature, in person, the entertainment industry executives, producers, directors, actors, agents and others who make it all happen—wit

h a focus on those who have roots in Tucson and/or at the University of Arizona!. The panelists will provide in-depth discussion, lively debate, and a rare glimpse behind the curtain to the realities of the film, television and new media industries. The topics covered will be timely and cutting edge, and will be approached from a broad range of perspectives. The Inside Track Panels were inspired by last fall’s panel, “Breaking and Entering: The New State of the Entertainment Industry,” which attracted over 300 attendees and drew nationwide attention to Tucson. Panelists included UA alums producer Scott Stuber (Love and Other Drugs, Role Models), and John Kilkenny, Executive VP at Fox Studios (Avatar, Night at the Museum, A-Men). The most recent Inside Track panel was called “Web Series, The New Way In?” and featured prominent web series creators, actors, producers, and business model-makers. Each panel will offer an opportunity to discover the real story of the entertainment business directly from hands-on, top-notch experts in their fields.
