THE SAVAGES were from Mumbai, and got swept up in the Indian To***co Co.’s efforts to promote smoking in the youth of that country. So good were they, that they won the 1967 ‘Simla Beat’ comp and got a deal with Polydor.

This band, another from India, plus Sweden, Japan, Peru and Mexico all part of this weekend’s special episode!
