One of the many things on my “learnt before 30 list”
🤔Do you ever just clue into some unique or weird thing you have, or seem to do!? A habit maybe?
😂I just figured out… I think I have a slight obsession with keeping things matching… particularly with colours.
🤷🏻♂️Some could consider that a habit, potentially a weird or bad one. But that’s okay!
😁It’s fun when you get to learn the little quirks that make you, well, YOU. One thing I’ve learned as I’ve gotten older, especially with 30 on the horizon. It’s better and best, to be unique, be you, and be real.
😎So if matching the colour of your tools, toys, and products you buy is what you’re into. Go for it! There’s only one you, and you only have one life, so why not just be yourself? Embrace your uniqueness and fun habit.

🐓Help me turn down the chickens!
🥬First, we feed! We feed between 530-6pm every day. For dinner on top of their feeders, we like to do a mixture of their food, worms for protein, some scratch for sweetness, and various vegetable and fruit scraps.
🥚After we feed, we check on the coop for any last eggs. Some of our layers lay in the morning, while some prefer the afternoon. Collect any last eggs and onto the waterer.
💧Check the level of the waterer in the coop to ensure clean, fresh, drinking water for the hens and Pete. We use a heated waterer in the winter, so we will swap this red one out in a month or so. Next, the lights!
💡We turn off the main light for them, and turn on a smaller led light that slowly dims over the rest of the evening. We find our flock goes to bed and finds their places to roost for the night smoother this way.
😴Close the main door and that’s it until around 9:30pm, when we will go out, collect the outside feeder, close their doors and turn out the led light. Night time.
😂Chickens love routines and consistency, which is exactly what life needs. Getting to do these chores is such a reward, and keeps my life organized and full of gratitude. Especially when you get to collect the butt nuggets.

🏡Absorbed so much nature today! So grateful for our property. So grateful for taking that chance and listening to our intuition to move north. Somewhere that serves our purpose.
🐕🦺🦮Cleared and made multiple trails and areas of the yard safe. Walking around can now be less hectic, and way safer for the puppies.
👨🏻👨🏻Hung out with my father in law. Bonded and built a great system for clearing land. Got a big task done, and it’s just a sneak peak of what’s to come for the rest of the property.
💧So thankful we invested in our health and are able to stay hydrated with our 9.5ph electrolysed reduced hydrogenated water. Literally made today a breeze.😎

Furniture rehab🪑
👵🏼Fixing up an old rocking chair that’s been on Alisha’s side of the family for quite a few years. Adding some glue to some old loose joint.
😊As simple as this is, working in my garage, on a little project, brings so much gratitude.
🏡The ability to have a warmer, dry space to work on this fix, and having the time and tools to do it. Amazing.

Emergency calls🚨
🥲This L29 that we just installed a couple weeks ago already has had its first hiccup! So sad.
💨We were called for it being loaded, but not building air. Weird right!?
⚡️Showed up to site, get power turned on to the unit, warm up a couple sensors and start the compressor. Fingers crossed!
🤷🏻♂️Watch the compressor run, test electrical components, observe inlet valve (allows air in or not in) operation for over 2 hours with no issues. So not much we can do.
😂🙏🏼Sometimes your days are like that. A flip flop. From broken to fixed with the luck of a long power cycle.
🧘🏻♂️ Just went with the positive flow, double checked everything I could, and left the machine in the hands of the universe and this mill. So who knows how long that’ll be, but hopefully this was just a one time hiccup.
🤩I am so glad that the process of starting this business allows me to grow myself, be calming, and understand what works best for me. Who would have thought that at almost 30, I would be restructuring, learning, growing, and revamping my life. I didn’t, but I’m glad I started! It definitely is helping with emergency call situations in staying positive!

😂When Alisha catches a groove, look out! She’s definitely got the skills and carry’s the team when it comes to dancing.
🕺🏻Dancing is a great activity to not only shake it with the wife, it also has great physical, and psychological benefits!
💪🏼Improved coordination, agility and flexibility are some of the physical effects. While psychologically, you can get better social skills, mental functions, and improved well being. We like to keep our life light and fun.
🫶🏼It’s definitely an activity that happens frequently around our house, and I can state for a fact that it definitely improves the mind. Feeling down, get dancing!
🤩It’s also a hobby that I would love to get better at this year. Somewhat of a challenge for myself this year. The ability to confidently dance Alisha’s socks off would be a real vibe booster!
