Fighting dengue with Talbos ng Camote—nature's remedy! 🌿💪

Nature speaks to us through its imperfections, like the bug bites on these leaves, showing us they’re pesticide-free and safe for consumption. Just like life, perfection isn’t the goal; nature’s raw authenticity is where the magic happens.

Talbos ng Camote is a powerful ally against dengue, leukemia, anemia, clogged arteries, and promotes stronger bones! 🦴

Here's a simple recipe: Boil 40 purple talbos leaves in 3 cups of water for 15 minutes. Drink 3 cups a day for rapid strength recovery and a natural boost in platelets. 🌱

Simple, local, and affordable remedies straight from God’s garden.

A huge thank you to our dedicated forest guardian l, Kuya Teng, in UP Laguna-Quezon Land Grant for nurturing these leafy greens in our gulay glam garden 🥬🙏

My diy healthier tuyo recipe :
Simply 1 kilo small fish . I like Sinilyasi or “ fake tawilis” at 190 per kilo . You may use other small fish like matang baka, galungong or dilis .Best to buy what is in season and make in advance!

Fresh from market wash fish n drain. If small fish no need to clean innards . But if larger , have the market clean it for you .
Then soak 1 kilo fish in brine solution of 1/2 cup vinegar , 1 cup water and 1/2 cup rock salt . Let soak for 1 hour. Then drain fish well. Once dry you may fry fish in non stick pan w subtle oil drizzle. Place the rest in the freezer for your next meal! It’s great for breakfast w eggs n home grown veggies . Or shredded into pasta or crackers n olive oil pica! Crispy fresh! Isn’t smelly and less salt!
Are you often short on budget? Compromising healthy food for noodles and fake food? Here is a great option! Keeping within budgets while staying healthy!

I share my basket of priorities. Rice at 60 pesos a kilo, mongo at 100 pesos a kilo , eggs at 9 pesos each, saba bananas at 2.50 a piece , sweet potato at 100 a kilo ! Plus home grown Malunggay, alugbsti, saluyot, talinum, lagikway , kulities , talbos ng camote! These easy grow veggies plus this basket and of course the usual garlic, onions and tomatoes form our most nutritious pantry staple ! It’s also my “ Farmacy” . Fresh local fruits in season are great too! Some giniling is also a practical protein option since it’s a great extender in almost anything! Dried mushrooms in the market are a steal because it’s dehydrated and very light . So 200 pesos for 1/4 kilo goes a long way!

With this budget priority you can be sure of nutrition for your family within budgets! Enjoy 🇵🇭💪💃❤️

Tour of the Sierra Madre Reforestation Project ⛰️🌳

Join us for episode 1 of the newest series for Sabrina’s Kitchen as we explore the incredible transformation of the UP Laguna-Quezon Land Grant, a 9,000-hectare haven that has been reborn from Cogon grass to a lush secondary forest. Over the past 27 years, Forester Reynaldo Lorida and his dedicated team have tirelessly worked to turn this once barren land into a thriving sanctuary for native trees and wildlife.

Their success in reforestation is a living legacy from the relentless hard work in addressing illegal activities such as mining, logging, and slash-and-burn practices. This flourishing secondary forest stands as proof to the significance of indigenous trees in maintaining the ecological balance of the Sierra Madre mountain ranges.

Experience with us as we uncover the story behind this transformation focusing on nurturing our natural landscapes and the continued fight to protect and preserve them. You’ll be truly inspired by the collective action in environmental conservation! 🌳🌲🦜
