Ocean Justice Advisory Group at the National Adaptation Forum 2022
Tune in to hear Lliana R. Quinones, Russell Smith, Helen Smith and Queen Quet of the Ocean Justice Advisory Group (OJAG) do the inaugural presentation of OJAG to the public at the 2022 National Adaptation Forum in Baltimore, MD. These scientists, activists, and advocates stand up firmly for the ocean.
The Ocean Justice Advocacy Group (OJAG) was born from a group of organizations originally brought together to support the development of the 2021 Capitol Hill Ocean Week program and agenda. This group found common cause for continuing its work together, building on its collective desire for more just and equitable ocean and marine policy outcomes. Behind the formation of OJAG is the urgent need for change in ocean and coastal policy to incorporate the perspectives of BIPOC communities, increase representation, and create stronger and more equitable outcomes.
