Yesterday afternoon officers and staff conducted Pedestrian Crosswalk Operations on S. Atlantic Ave. and Saxon Dr. and found numerous violators. In a period of two hours, we wrote 14 citations for failure to stop for a pedestrian in the crosswalk, two citations for failure to carry a driver license, two for speeding, one for texting while driving, and one criminal citation for driving with a suspended license.

Please pay attention to pedestrians in crosswalks!

Daytona Beach Comic Book Convention and Small Press Showcase
September 18th & 19th | Saturday 10 am - 5pm & Sunday 10 am - 4 pm
Don’t miss the original and longest-running comic book, toy and collectible convention in Volusia County. This two-day event highlights vintage and new comic books, magazines, pulps, underground comix and original art. Attendees also have the opportunity to explore the selection of toys, action figures, POPs, Disney keepsakes, and other items to add to their collections. In addition to collectibles and publications, fans will have the opportunity to meet comic book artists, writers and creators. Head to the Volusia County Fairgrounds for this event. The Comic Convention will be held in the Tommy Lawrence building, and the Small Press Showcase will be in the Hubert S. Talton Building.
