🚨🚨🚨 Aurora Truck 6 - Ladder Rescue 🚨🚨🚨
East side companies responded to a fire in a townhome today. Upon arrival, a working fire was found with someone still trapped inside on the second floor.
While the engine companies went to work on fire attack, Truck 6 threw ladders to the second floor. Truck 6 made contact with the victim who was conscious and concerned about her dog.
The interior door wasn’t able to be controlled and smoke and fire conditions continued to worsen. The victim was assisted to the window, removed from the second story window, and brought down the ladder by Truck 6’s crew.
The victim’s dog was also rescued. The victim was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
This fire is a great example of how our Engine and Truck Companies work together. The Engine Companies focus on fire attack and protect the Truck Company’s operations. The Truck Companies can then focus on search and rescue, ladders, ventilation, and more all for the civilians inside.
