Evolution, Mallorca International Film Festival encourages International Filmmakers to come together and share their unique stories with audiences from all around the world. Working year-round to find films that display strong visual and written storytelling, EIFF strives to showcase great examples of film-making. We look for movies that are socially relevant, provocative and innovative. Mallorca

has been a favorite destination for Industry professionals for many years, making the island a hot-spot for actors, directors, producers and writers. Offering enthusiastic crowds and unique venues, this is the perfect event to network with Film-making powerhouses and enjoy some warm winter sunshine while surrounded by fascinating European culture, food and fun. The festival atmosphere is personal and intimate. The screenings are always accompanied by filmmakers, actors or jury members and opportunities to network with show business powerhouses while in a casual environment are plenty. The Festival is young, fresh and hip, innovative, provocative and daring at times. We push the envelope and are curious what our audience has to say. This is a filmmakers festival and thrive to bring independent film closer to the people in Mallorca. Our location is another unique facet to the festival. Mallorca is such a diverse Island, it invites you to go on an adventure exploring all it's beautiful sights, culture and people. The island also boosts several award winning productions companies who will be gladly show you around the island and bring you closer to it's hidden treasures.

For four editions, we’ve celebrated the visionary work of cinematographers who bring stories to life through their lens. This year, we honored the artistry and creativity of legends like Anthony Dod Mantle (Slumdog Millionaire, T2 Trainspotting) and Lawrence Sher (Joker)🌟

An incredible honor to have met with the legendary filmmaker Wim Wenders in Hollywood as he graciously received the Best Director Award for Perfect Days, from the 2023 Mallorca International Film Festival. A true cinematic maestro! 🎥🌟 Wim’s words about our festival program were truly encouraging: “Well, you have a very good selection here”. This marks his second recognition at MIFF, following his Evolution Honorary Award in 2021. — Ha sido un honor haber podido encontrarnos con el legendario cineasta Wim Wenders en Hollywood para entregarle el premio a Mejor Director por su película “Perfect Days” que ganó en el último certamen de Mallorca International Film Festival. Un maestro del cine 🎥✨ Sus palabras acerca de la programación del festival fueron muy alentadoras: “Vuestra selección es fantástica”. Este es el segundo premio que entregamos a Wenders desde el festival. El primero fue el premio Evolution Honorary Award en 2021.
