About us
Ethics Eye is a research-based public education platform that serves to foster ethical journalism in Sri Lanka. The platform engages both the public and journalists on current ethical concerns that arise from daily reportage.
Ethics Eye operates with limited resources, and its scope of monitoring is thereby limited, mainly to press reportage with a high reach in Sinhala – the most spoken language in Sri Lanka.
The Ethics Eye platform is maintained by Verité Research. If you are able to contribute to the sustainability of this public education platform, please contact at [email protected]
Ethics Eye was conceptualised and launched by Verité Research in 2016 with financial support from Internews. Over the years, the platform has received intermittent financial contributions from a few sources, including a further six months of support in 2020 from Internews. The platform is otherwise sustained by the internal resources of Verité Research. Ethics Eye invites support, engagement and monitoring contributions from all those who value the advancement of media ethics in Sri Lanka.
