These are a few FAQs I’ve heard lately.

When you work with a podcast manager, there will be a slight learning curve as they begin to learn your standards, how you want your podcast to run, sound, and be promoted.

To ensure you make the right choice, ask these 3 questions:

✅ Can you share your portfolio?
✅ What is your process like?
✅ How do you work with your clients?

The more detail they can share with you, the better. And you’ll also get a better feel for whether or not they’re a good fit.

It doesn’t take long for new podcasters to realize how time-consuming running a podcast can be ⏳

From coming up with episode ideas, recording, editing, finding guests, rinse, and repeat - it’s a fast road to burnout.

Podcast managers, like myself, are here to help 💁🏻‍♀️

And while for some, they’re not ready to outsource the whole thing, you could always consider a strategy call with a podcast manager.

One hour to pick their brain with any and all questions, have them evaluate what’s working, what’s not, and, ultimately, do a deep dive into your podcast.

The moral of the story is know that you don’t have to do it alone. You don’t have to spend hours on YouTube teaching yourself everything podcasting.

Instead, you can connect with a podcast manager who can help guide you and/or lead you in the right direction.

For some, coming up with episode ideas can feel daunting.

And while yes, these are only a few - don’t shy away from solo episodes where you share pieces of your life with your listeners.

It doesn’t have to always be about business.

People tune in to hear what you have to say which means they also want to know more about ⭐️ you. ⭐️

If you’re going through tough times, share it (if you feel comfortable, of course). But more than likely, someone else is going through the same thing and hearing you speak on the topic makes them (and yourself) feel a little less alone.

You’re voice is your power and you have more of it than you think ⚡️

FAQ: what mic should I get?

🚨 You don’t need to break the bank and buy the most expensive mic out there.

Here are a few budget-friendly mics my clients use or that I’ve recommended that put out high quality sound 🎙️

⬆️ A must when podcasting - I don’t care who you are. If you’re audio sounds like s**t, listeners will turn away real quick.

Oh hey! I’m back from my unplanned, mini hiatus from social media. 👋🏼

I’ve spent more time outdoors in the last month and less time on social media. I call that a ✨win✨ in my book.

I spend a lot of time on the computer, editing my little heart out, but my eyes 👀 are taking a hit.

So when I can avoid a screen, you better believe I do. 💁🏻‍♀️

A few of my summer adventures include:

🚤 Jet boating up and down the river
🥾 Hiking/walking
🌲 Sightseeing
🌊 Going to the beach
🚙 Driving up and down the coast
👯‍♀️ Visiting with friends and family
☀️ Spending time in the sun (before it’s gone for the rest of the year)

Safe to say I’m getting the hang of the work/life balance 🧘‍♀️ Only took me about 3 years!

I’m headed into my 3rd year of business 🤯

And I’m not going to lie, it’s been a wild ride. From managing ALL content to niching down to my favorite parts 🥰 (audio and video), I’ve learned that:

✅ You can’t do it all
✅ Running a business is hard
✅ I love what I do
✅ Managing your time is important
✅ The burnout can get real
✅ Breaks (and time off) need to happen
✅ My ideal clients do exist
✅ Self-care is a must
✅ Having your community of people helps a ton
✅ There’s no right way to succeed
✅ Comparing yourself to others is pointless
✅ Meditation works wonders
✅ Traveling + working = slow travel
✅ Tax season sucks more than ever

And…

How much more time do you have?

You get the point. The list goes on. 😆

It hasn’t been easy. I tend to overthink most things 😬… It’s a work in progress.

But to have the clients that I do and the support that I’ve had, it’s all been SO worth it.

Running a business has made me extremely self-aware, has toughened me up, taught me to be more compassionate with myself, and I’m learning new things every.single.day.

Can I get a cheers to another year!?🥂
