.protools pro tip — you know how Pro Tools adds “_03” or “_12” etc to every audio file you record/consolidate? When you’re ready to deliver files to a client, you can auto-remove all of them by using the batch clip rename, enabling regular expressions, and saving this little bit of text as a preset.

picked one of my new snares for his playthrough session - this Concept 5x14” Copper has that low end punch I love so much in copper snares, new for 2023, and adorned with hardware like the magnetic throw-off that I was prepared to pay twice as much for in a ‘Collectors’ series snare.

My need for a copper snare was sparked by a session at .studios.atl when we found their DW Collectors copper snare (I think it’s 5” deep as well). It just beat everything else we tried for that big rock snare tone.

I’ve also been super impressed by the UV2 on snare - you wouldn’t think a whole album has been tracked on this head, but it be like that sometimes. Maybe a and Drum Honey to seal the deal? Chefs kiss.
