Our regular men's fellowship at Covenant Family Church met online tonight and we dealt with the topic of Spiritual and Practical Applications for African American Christians regarding the recent upheavals and tragedies. The discussion was spirited and according to the men, very helpful with their own situations and with their children. I shared with them my testimony of my own encounter in the 90's in Oklahoma City that could have gone very tragically wrong had it not been for God's intervention.
I decided to share with you the things we discussed with the hope that it might be a blessing to you and your family, especially, young African American males. This is not an attempt to tell you how to live or how to feel about all of the things going on surrounding race in this country. It is just letting you in on what was on the hearts of christian brothers who happen to be African American sharing their concerns, anxieties, and desires to see change as they sought answers for themselves and their families. As with any buffet, take what you can use and leave the rest.
And if you would like to join our Zoom call, on Thursdays, hit me up. We'd love to help any men, regardless of ethnicity or location, provide practical and spiritual advice on how to navigate your journey as a man, a husband, a brother, a father, a son, a friend, a mentor, or a protege.
There is one kingdom, one family, and only one solution - Jesus Christ. @ Covenant Family Church Ministries
