My friend Jazz Guitarist Ryan Waszmer asked me Wednesday late afternoon ,Have you ever played a George Shearing tune called Conception? I said I did not think so and could not recall it.I honestly thought he only wrote Lullaby of Birdland and told him that was one of my goal tunes to learn when I started playing jazz.I went and downloaded tune from 1950 release .I was blown away everyone was on fire ! Brilliant writing this tune took a day to get together feverishly working .OCD kicked in real good on this one! This is practice and again not perfect.But you will get where I'm headed ! I can not understand why Miles or Bill Evans and Quite a few others recorded this song only to leave the masterful bridge section out???

I love Freddie Hubbard's music so I tackled this one quick,another one I never played the head on,Sloppy but got the idea across and played with some outside harmonic ideas..Great choice Thank you had a great practice / workout today!

Mr Chris O'Dowd by your request Jitterbug Waltz written by Fats Waller this song brings back memories of my late teens I was assistant manager at a Record Town around mid 80's and I wanted to play piano like Fats Waller record I bought I believe was a compilation this and a few other organ tunes was on this record.The Hammond used was most likely a late 1930's BC Organ very unique organ 2 sets of tone wheels for Chorusing and no foldback pure tone on all keys like bass pedals.I have one in storage with vibrato upgrade done in early 40's.Here is my humbling attempt the song started to come together by the end when I hit the last chord lol.
