Changes are coming to the homebuying process, and this post from Daniel Carmack does a great job of explaining them.
Enjoy your day!
CHANGES CAN BE GOOD
Beginning in August, any buyer wanting to view a property with a realtor, will be asked to sign an agreement with the buyers agent BEFORE they can show you the property. This agreement will do a couple of things. First of all it’s an extra layer of security for the sellers and the agents, especially in markets where there’s not as much familiarity with locals. Secondly, it will spell out exactly who the agent is working for and the terms of that agreement including timeframe and commissions, making sure that both the buyer and agents understand each other with better clarity. This change is necessary because of the recent agreement by realtors to continue being as transparent as possible when representing buyers and sellers and what we do to earn our commission in serving clients best interests. As always, commissions remain negotiable and every agent and firm have different business models and plans. As a realtor, one thing remains the same and that is the clients best interest is the top priority. If you are ready to start the house hunting process or to professionally market your home for top dollar or maybe you have questions about the process itself, please give me a call. My promise to every client is the same…I will give you my best. Every client. Every time. Using my experience and proven skills, giving you the best tools and advice today to produce the best outcome tomorrow. Thank you for continuing to call me and the Sallie Davidson Realtors firm for all of your real estate needs.
