On Tuesday, 2nd July 2024, A series of meetings were held in the regional minister of upper East Dr. Alhaji Hafiz Bin sali office. Some members of the Regional Peace Council led by the Regional Chairman, Alhaji Sumaila Issaka and Regional Executives of the Ghana Journalists Association, hon. William Jalulah, Regional Chairman were all present.
A lot were discussed about the progress of peace and security within Bawku and it environs.All parties were happy about the improvement in security situation in the area for the past three months.
The Regional Security Council at its meeting signed a Memorandum of Understanding with officials of the 4 radio stations (Source FM, Bawku FM, Zahara FM and Gumah FM) whose broadcasts were suspended some time ago.
The regional minister whose name cannot not be left out on how tirelessly he has worked to make sure that peace returns assured the managers that by Monday 8/06/2024 transmission will take effect. The managers of the four radio stations were happy the way the regional minister, the securities and all the stakeholders involved have handled the case and assured him that they will work within the professional ethics of NCA and help preach the gospel of peace in the area .
Listeners of the radio stations should expect good news from the authorities by Monday.

Assembly man for Zabugu electoral area hon Akuka Zakari Mohammed organized a clean up exercise today 5th July,2024 at Asikiri market, over hundred people came out to support the campaign comprising Seamstresses, hairdressers, store owners and people within the electoral area. As part of his campaign he promised to make his electoral area clean especially the market where people from all walks of life come to do their businesses,he reiterated that the health of his people requires living in hygienic environment that is why he sees it necessary to sweep and clean up the gutters in the market to make it good environment for heathy living, he promised to mount street lights at the vantage points in the market to provide security by next week.

Several MPS and DCEs attempted constructing bridges but it proves futile, but this time it has seen major face lift in the era of this regime, work is progressing steadily and very soon the people in this communities and other road users from other areas will be relieved from the stress they have been passing through.

A police officer has been crashed to death after chasing a motor on the Kotei – Accra highway in Kumasi, the Ashanti regional capital.
The incident happened in the early hours of Wednesday, April 17, 2024.
He was grasping for breath as life sniff out of him with blood oozing from his head just at the tail end of the parked truck.
“He was chasing a motor rider when he crushed into the truck,” eyewitnesses said.
“The truck had developed a fault so the driver and mate were working on it when the policeman ram into it. Both driver and mate left the scene after the incident,” another eyewitness Credit:ASSH FM
