Knight Reader-A podcast for book and music lovers
My name is Dylan C, and i produce and host the literary musical analysis podcast, Knight Reader. So what is this podcast? the past few years i’ve soaked myself in a lot of classical texts, however i am a homebody, and although i am social, i enjoy my time in solitude, i do have a family that i live with and a couple children of my own.
My motive through this podcast is to make literature like this approachable, and exciting, to share it with people of all capabilities, have fun, read, and most importantly, inspire.
I wish to provide perspective, i would like to discuss, in an identifiable way, these works of art that sometimes elude us in this modern age. not only by means of deciphering sometimes difficult language, but also interpreting references and allusions that might get past us if we don’t pay attention. i want to look at, and figure out, in simple terms, the themes and ideas of these books, why they were written, what was in the writers hearts while they wrote this? or at least, what can we guess of it?and finally, in discussing and deciphering, ill be reading excerpts and telling the story through my perception of it, and we can make our way through the story together, whether you have the book, or not, whether you have read it or not, following my podcast you will be able to get a grasp on the entire story at hand, as well as hear extensive descriptions and insights into the fictional world, and how it connects to us.
Anyway, i found myself with so much to say, and no where to say it, or no one to listen to me. i would have these long drawn out conversations with myself or sometimes even the fictional characters of the stories i read, i would ramble on to my family about this beautiful poetry, and wonderful stories, but i found nobody in my life had the same interest in reading and deciphering these books as i have. I have so much to say, and i love to share these books with anybody i can. one day i spoke to a friend over the phone about what he was reading at the moment,
