South State is spearheaded by Arkansas native Blake Elder, as the President & Founder. Elder established South State in 2009 with a goal to not only create & produce films, but to provide a national respect for Arkansas as a premiere state & location

for the film industry. By possessing the most advanced digital cinema camera in the world, the RED Epic Dragon by RED Digital Cinema, South State Productions is one step closer to accomplishing Elder's goal. The RED Epic Dragon has accustomed South State, along with the team's talent and hard work, with a superior visual quality for each film or project. The Red Epic Dragon captures 6k images at up to 100 frames per second. This incredible resolution paired with RAW workflow is what makes RED the choice of many directors on the biggest feature films being made.
