It's with deepest emotions to post that Tia Lynn Waters known as Bubblicious has passed. I don't have the words to describe the feelings of loss at this time. Her messages of compassion, wisdom, art, and support for community stand on their own.

LGBT History Month | October 2024 | Transgender Legacy Flag

Rita Hester was a Black trans woman born in Hartford Connecticut in 1964. Hester was a victim of anti-transgender violence in Allston, Massachusetts, on November 28, 1998. Her murder sparked Transgender Day of Remembrance. Hester was college educated, loved to perform, write poetry, travel the world, and dance. In 2023, during the twenty-fifth anniversary, Ephraim Adamz created the Transgender Legacy Flag to highlight the intersectionality of being Black and trans.
