Father Father Father Jim and Will talk about a lot of stuff. Sometimes it is great stuff. Like the time Dad told Will (and his brothers) they were going to Ireland. But Fr.

For what it's worth, Will would be fine if Dad found a reason to tell him that again. Sometimes it is hard stuff. One time Dad had to ask why Will's assignment pad was 40 pages shorter than his brothers' books. (Spoiler Alert: Will had been ripping out pages and flushing them at school to avoid Mom and Dad seeing angry notes from teachers. But in his defense, one of those teachers was really mean.

) But at the end of the day, they can talk about anything. They realized that almost no one has that kind of access to a priest. They're almost always a priest first. Jim was a dad first. And a husband. There are a lot of questions we should be asking. About the Church. About faith and spirituality in general. About society and what the Church is (or should be) doing in our lives. About whether the Philadelphia Eagles 2017 Draft Class is going to pay off. Some of those questions would be uncomfortable for a lot of people to ask a priest. But one time, Will had to wake Dad up in the middle of the night because the Coast Guard was already looking for a bunch of his friends who might have drowned at his birthday. So asking tough questions and talking about this stuff will be easy.
