Autumn has gotta be the best season to go camping in! Warm days, chilly evenings and waking up under the momiji 🍁😍

Of course, it’s not always this glamorous - after all, the night before this photo was taken I had to sleep overnight on the side of a sloped mountain road while street racers zoomed past at 3am 😳 Safe to say I didn’t sleep much that night 😅 but throughout all the rough situations, these beautiful moments in between make it all worthwhile 😍 Travelling slow through countryside towns, exploring random little beautiful gorges that are barely even mentioned on the maps and eating mitarashi dango at 9am because you didn’t have any gas left to cook oats in the morning 😂 This is what it’s all about!

What an honour! 💛 A Doctor Yellow sighting in the wild!

Doctor Yellow gets his iconic name by running along the majority of the Shinkansen train tracks in Japan, diagnosing any problems with the tracks or overhead wires to maintain safety for the other trains. No passengers are aboard these trains, but instead there’s a team of 9 workers onboard (drivers, technicians and other workers) that monitor data and relay any concerns to maintenance crew for repair. It’s also the only bullet train in Japan to reach its full speed potential of 443km/h (!! normally they only run at 338km/h) in order to test the resilience of the tracks.

It’s said that being lucky enough to spot one will bring you happiness and damn, it really did 😅 I felt like I’d just caught a rare Pokémon 😆

I had absolutely no idea about this train until yesterday and now I’m obsessed 😍 I have no one but to thank for the heads up on his approximate whereabouts and my now new found understanding of “Train Otaku”. I get it now, it’s very exciting 😄

It’s good to be back 🥰

The past couple of weeks back in Japan have been absolutely wonderful ☺️ Being back in my own space, comfort zone and of course, Jeep has me really wondering “was I even depressed a few weeks back?” 🤔 lol I seriously can’t wait till the day that I no longer have to worry about my visa for at least another year 😅

I haven’t had the chance to take the Jeep out for a proper camp yet but I’m planning my next few weeks now and I’m thinking… Fuji? 👀

An update for those who missed it, yes I am back in Japan but only for a month to see Chris again ☺️ Still no updates on when I’m back for good 😔

I guess life can’t always be flowers and sunshine 😔 I just published a video on my channel explaining some news I’ve been sitting on for awhile and unfortunately it’s not good news. Luckily though, it has nothing to do with the health or safety of my loved ones so I’m grateful for that! It has a lot to do with my future and the future of my channel though so go check it out.

I probably won’t be replying to many DM’s about this because honestly, it’s already drained most of the life from me this year so for my own sanity, I might just like it and leave it. Please forgive my absence and inability to engage with most ppl at the moment. I really appreciate your support though ❤️

And just like that… I have the travel bug again 🌍 It’s been over 3yrs since I got the chance to experience a completely foreign country, experience the culture shock, not understand the language, try all the food and take all the photos and I almost didn’t realise how much I needed it 😄 Feels so good to be back out again in the world!

My time here in Taiwan has been absolutely wonderful. Thank you for all the delicious vegetarian food (that’s available everywhere!), the kindness from the locals and all cool little alleyways to help me practise shooting with my 100-400mm 📸😂

Sensoji just has a special ✨charm✨ to it. Little known secret, the greatest selection of Mochi on a stick (aka dango) is in a shop just behind these main stalls. Strawberry, custard, MANGO? Need I say more 🤤

My favourite part of Kamikochi is sitting at a bench looking at the mountains, whilst simultaneously listening to people walking in from the bus stop who are seeing this view for the first time. I literally heard a woman scream when she saw it but honestly, I get it 😂 This view is unbeatable.

Also-my quick little video from this town that I practically threw together on Tiktok, is currently at 3.4M views 😳 (which I know is still baby numbers for seasoned tiktoker but huge for a novice like me) It’s very interesting to learn what works on Tiktok/Instagram/YouTube and to recognise my own viewing habits 🤔

It feels like everything is just ‘content’ these days and everything has a very similar flavour. I feel less interested in following specific creators on Tiktok as much as I just like to mindlessly scroll through a bunch of people I don’t know, doing entertaining things 😂 compared to Instagram and YouTube, I feel ‘attached’ to certain creators because you get to know them over a long amount of time, ya know? Am I alone in this? Are you a content peruser like me or do you like to watch mostly just the ppl you follow?

Either way, I still very much enjoy posting photos and less algorithm-feeding content on Instagram ☺️ Maybe it’ll change 🤷‍♀️ Who knows!

Hey Alexa play “this is what dreams are made of” by Hilary Duff 😍

It was about this time last year that and I went on our first overlanding trip and pretty quickly started planning our own setup! Much to my surprise (and joy) watched my video and reached out to me offering me one of their tents, should I ever want to pursue this lifestyle 😍 That email was 100% the catalyst that led to this moment right here, where everything came together for my first solo trip in the Jeep! And mate, let me tell ya, it was FUN 🤩 This year has actually been pretty rough for me so far (for some reasons I never talked about on my channel and some BIG reasons that I have yet to talk about on my channel) but at the very least, I’ve got this to look forward to! I can’t wait to show her off in my next video! 😄

I don’t know where my obsession with finding good swimming spots came from but I’m willing to bet it’s from being Australian 😅 My friends and I are constantly talking about how if these locations were in Australia, they’d be absolutely SWARMED with people doing the same thing as us but nearly every spot we visit, we’re the only ones. Japan is an outdoor swimming wonderland, but shh 🤫 don’t tell the locals 😅

Also how CUTE is the new hike series! They sent me this outfit to test out and I can confidently say that I love it😍. So comfy (it’s Lulu so you knew that already), practical and the little throw over jumper is perfect for the hot/chilly weather you often get while hiking. We love a brand that makes quality outdoor gear to last for years and years on end 👏🏼 so thank you ❤️ (What a dream to work with your favourite brand!)

Well the cat’s out of the bag, I bought a Jeep! And my travels around Japan just got a whole lot cooler 😎 I can’t WAIT to finish setting everything up so I can give her a good run for her money! 🇯🇵Is tourism returning to Japan soon? 👀👀👀 Japan lovers may have just received the most exciting news they’ve heard in the past two years today 😯 It seems as though the government is planning on easing travel restrictions into Japan, starting with small tour groups this month and watching it closely before potentially opening up to individual travellers in June. These are all mostly speculations (as the government likes to do here) and nothing is set in stone yet but the fact they’re talking about it is a HUGE step in the right direction. Every cross your fingers 🤞🏼

Anyway, onto the photo at question: Mate, walking through Teamlab Planets with a goal of taking photos feels so chaotic 😂 The lights are changing constantly so you’re trying to keep up with the exposure level, all the while trying to avoid shooting other people as this ambient music fills the room and makes you feel like you’re floating through space but you know that pretty much every photo is gonna be an absolute banger anyway so you just set the camera to burst mode and go ham 😆 I’ve got like 1000+ more photos from here but I’ll stop here for now. Hopefully it shouldn’t be long till you can experience it for yourself! 👀

🎉 I turned 30 last week! HBD to me 🥳

With every milestone we turn, it feels like there’s some kind of pressure to say something funny about getting old or posting a cute selfie to say “I’m 30 but still look good” etc, but I guess part of getting older means I don’t have to care about the pressure anymore, right? Anyways, I’m excited to finally become the age that I’ve felt like for awhile ☺️ Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes 🥰
