If you eat fruit, don't throw seeds and kernels in the trash. Wash and dry them. Put them in a box and put it in the car. When you're on the road, throw them through the window in places where there are no trees. Nature itself will take care of them. Or throw it out during a walk or bike ride. This practice has been around for centuries in Asian countries. That is why their fruits are now growing everywhere. I would like to add that I have seen a similar phenomenon in Slovenia. While walking through the forest on the slope of the mountain around the city, I was surprised to find apple trees, apricots, plums and pears growing in the forest. Just pull and eat as much as you want.

Trees, mycelium, ALL of nature knows how things really work. The moving, living connections in nature are powerful and fascinating, and although our indigenous peoples have known this forever, we in the modern world are JUST starting to lean back into this knowledge. It’s about time!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻

ABUNDANCE - When you consider the unfathomable diversity and abundance of species that fill our oceans, we are truly blessed to have any opportunities to experience such wonders in our lifetimes. The oceans are so prolific and so resilient, yet we have pushed them to the limits of their capacity to withstand the onslaught of industrial-scale fisheries, unchecked widespread coastal development, toxic runoff from industrial farming, mining and logging, and a rising tide of plastics pollution.
In spite of this, there is still so much worth defending and we must choose to act each and every days, in our choices about how we consume and dispose, to ensure our oceans thrive long into the future.
It is time we join together and take a decisive stand for nature, for our the health of our planet, and for the future of all species on earth.

LIVING DINOSAURS - Crocodiles have been on earth for about 80 million years and they are truly living dinosaurs. American crocodiles are the only species other than the saltwater crocodile to commonly live and thrive in saltwater. Once flourishing from Florida, across the Caribbean, Central and South America, unregulated hunting for their hides, pollution, loss of habitat, and commercial farming have reduced their populations of the American crocodile to just a few thousand and they are now listed as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List. In many parts of their range, they are threatened with local extinction. Their populations could recover if we took serious steps to ensure they were safe from illegal poaching and that their critical coastal habitats were properly protected. The future of this species and so many others rests in our hands.
when we decide enough is enough and that we will no longer be complicit in global crisis that is driving the loss of keystone species. It is time we join together and take a decisive stand for nature, for the health of our planet, and for the future of all species on Earth.

In this week's issue of our environment newsletter, we have a Q&A with an author on the connection between shopping and environmental degradation and why a photo of a cut-down tree on Vancouver Island went viral.
We all know that plastics are a disaster!!
They were certainly a cool new thing last century and I can see why they were embraced: a material that's easy and cheap to create and to buy, with a flexibility of form that allows and invites endless possibilities.
Now we know better, but we haven't stopped using them, and we need to do better.
A multiple angle approach is required: we need solutions for existing plastics, as well as new viable alternatives, and also a sea change in terms of how we consume oil-based throw-away plastics.
Of course this is just one of many, many issues facing us on the journey of healing this beautiful planet.
Luckily, there are BILLIONS of us and we are remarkably innovative, so surely we can collectively come up with ways!!
