I thought Roxy’s next professional training report was coming tomorrow; however, I guess because of Christmas, they sent us her report back on 12/21. As I was going through e-mails today, I found it! Let’s just say this girl right here is ROCKING professional training. We are SOOO proud of her! She is working and learning MORE commands with her new trainer. Remember in earlier reports, she was picking up a credit card and giving it to her trainer. Now she is tugged opening drawers, taking clothes out of the drawers and taking them to her trainer to help her get dressed. IF that isn’t amazing, then guess what else she is learning to do?! She is learning to tugs off socks & pull on sleeves to help her trainer undress! We are so proud and she is so close to helping us achieve our goal as puppy raisers—to give back/pay it forward and give someone the gift of independence! Go Roxy! You can do this!!

We got Roxy’s professional training report yesterday. She continues to work on commands she already knows in different settings and is also learning new commands. It is hard to believe that around this time 2 years ago, we were anxiously waiting for her arrival. Now we are anxiously waiting to see what her future holds. Hoping this sweet girl finds her perfect match in 2023! ❤️🐕‍🦺🐾

This sweet girl did not match in this team training. Therefore, she will be held over and keep training until the next one. We want her to find her perfect match when the timing is right.

Well today we got THE call all 🐾 puppy raisers 🐾 dream of—Roxy has been invited to rotate through team training starting next week, 10/24. There are 9 potential recipients and approximately 14-15 dogs rotating through. I was also told she was helping with initial interviews today with applicants who are going through the application process to see if they qualify for a Canine Companions service dog! ❤️ We are so proud of you Roxy! Go find your “furever” companion and change a life and/or lives! ❤️

Roxy update: 🐾 She is doing so good in training! She is retrieving difficult items like keys and credit cards!! She is tugging items, turning on/off lights and works well next to a wheelchair! She has been introduced to even more advanced commands this month and isn’t distracted as much with the campus cat while training. She is on a treatment plan for skin and ear issues/allergies. Hoping treatment resolves these issues because she is ROCKING training! Keep working hard sweet girl and show them you want to be a service dog! Blue looks sooooo good on you! 🐾

Roxy’s monthly report came Wednesday. She is doing really good in professional training!! She is no longer being considered as a breeder. (Last month she was spayed.). However, she is having some allergies and they have tried changing her food to see if that will help and they are consulting with Canine Companions national vet team to try and figure it out. **If they can’t get it resolved, it could prevent her from moving on in advanced training, so please pray they can. We have poured our hearts into loving, training & socializing this sweet girl. We want her to go on to do great things!**
