Military spending increased by 9% in 2023, according to the International Institute for Strategic Studies. The London-based think tank, which has released annual reports on global security for more than six decades, predicts "a more dangerous decade" ahead as more countries resort to military power to pursue their aims.

Global military spending hit a record $2.2 trillion last year, with over half of that total coming from the United States and other NATO countries.

Seems a good time to ban people over 70 from holding 'representative' office.

Obviously 70+ year-olds are not representative of the future of the country, logically have less concern for the future, less disincentivized to crime by the 'criminal justice system', and have a high risk of mental deterioration and other health complications, which constitutes an added security risk.

Currently the minimum age to run for president is 35, yet I'd rather see pretty much any 34 year old I can think of hold office in contrast to the 70+ year-olds in Washington DC.
