The Juke Cloud The Internet's 1st Urban Music Chart The past spawned the Juke Box, the present introduces the Juke Cloud. The Juke Cloud was created as a response to this.

The word Juke comes from the word “Joog”, a Gullah word meaning rowdy or disorderly. Gullah Creole is the language of the Gullah people from the coastal areas of South Carolina and Georgia, the descendants of African slaves. Another Gullah phrase which is now part of popular culture is Kumbayah, as in the song, the Gullah word for “come by here”. Just as the origins of these words are not now comm

on knowledge, we feel the music we now call Urban has lost its roots, so to speak. The platform we have created will enable artists around the English speaking world, who create Adult Urban Music, to chart together for the very 1st time. It will also bring together the past and present, with pioneering artists, both lauded and lesser known, being introduced to a new generation. Finally, the crux of the cloud will be the innovative way in which we calculate our charts, meaning unsigned artist’s will rank among signed artist’s and gain that much needed exposure impossible to achieve without a substantial marketing budget. The Juke Cloud is all about the music.
