We had a great crowd at our El Dorado Film Festival screening of The Hill We Climb. The audience was so engaged and had great questions after. It’s such a dream come true to see the audience affected by the work we did. Thank you El Dorado Film Festival ✨🎥
The Thing About Volkswagens
Vintage Volkswagens live on among an impassioned group of enthusiasts. Why? Because they're charming intergenerational time capsules. Take a step back in time with Sam from The Bus Barn in Benton, Arkansas.
Censorship is a Harbinger
In 1933, Nazis confiscated books from public libraries and private collections that they viewed as threats to their ideals. It turned out to be a harbinger of something much worse: the mass murder of an entire group of people which we now refer to as The Holocaust.
Now, across America, we are seeing calls to censor and ban literature from school libraries and public libraries that Conservative groups find disagreeable. Ironically, Pulitzer Prize-winning graphic novel Maus—featuring personal accounts of The Holocaust—was one of the first books to be censored.
Media censorship may seem harmless, or even well-intentioned, but it sets the stage for a slippery slope of control that history has seen take the worst turn imaginable.
If you think this isn't serious, remember that thousands of people with these same ideologies stormed The Capitol and attempted to overturn an election result with which they disagreed.
We're specifically covering the ongoing battle in Saline County, Arkansas, between the public library and its supporters, and a group of Conservatives who are opposed to certain books in the library.
Are you paying attention? We must learn from history or be destined to repeat it.
“I made my own books. I’m sure they’ll be banned.”
Spotted at the Saline County Courthouse this afternoon protesting the latest efforts to overhaul the public library in what is becoming a heated showdown.
In 2021, Juneteenth was designated as a Federal Holiday. We were at the Ralph Bunche Community's celebration that year shooting for The Hill We Climb. Today, we honor and commemorate the holiday once again ❤️

Hellish was almost called The Caretaker. Ultimately, the title didn't fit. The film was about more than the caretaker angle; there was a larger context and message. But it does have a nice ring to it.

Women Must Rethink Tradition to Reclaim Their Power | Joyce Elliott | Little Rock Women's March
On October 2, 2021, women all across America marched for their rights to safe, legal abortion. In Little Rock, State Senator Joyce Elliott took to the mic to encourage women to shift their focus away from just the current restrictions on abortion perpetrated by male legislators, and instead consider all the commonly accepted ways women give up their power in day-to-day life—which, in turn, creates the climate that allows our rights to be taken from us.
Tradition is the enemy of progress. Every new idea sounds radical until it becomes the norm. What do you think?

It's been an incredible year without alcohol and—me being me— I had to make a video about it to share my experience.
I spent a lot of years hanging out in bars, working in bars, drinking with friends, drinking with strangers, drinking to celebrate, drinking to mourn. This was not an easy lifestyle adjustment for me. It actually helped in some crazy way that I chose to try out sobriety during the "quarantine years" 2020 and 2021. I never go anywhere and I haven't been tempted or tested by anyone but myself. Turns out, being sober is pretty cool. I might just stay this way.
I encourage anyone to try sobriety on for size. You might surprise yourself. You just might like it. You might get so much done and gain mental clarity. You might be glad you remember things and only send questionable texts if you really mean to. You might just mess around and take your power back.

Mind/Body changes after six months alcohol-free
Anyone who knows me knows I love(d) drinking alcohol. I've gone six months without it and I'm kind of shocked at the changes I've seen in my mind, body, and overall health.
