The Patriarchy Podcast "Build. Fight. Protect. Lead." A podcast for men. www.sovereingkingchurch.com

22/01/2025

Join Pastor Joseph Spurgeon of Sovereign King Church and Pastor Ben Sulser of Evangel Presbytery as they tackle one of the most pressing issues of our time: the decline of fertility in the West. With courage and conviction, they confront the ethical and spiritual minefield of in vitro fertilization (IVF) and embryo adoption.

From the dark origins of IVF to its staggering consequences today, Joseph and Ben expose the moral and theological dilemmas that come with "playing God" in the realm of reproductive technology. They lay bare the harsh realities of embryo cryopreservation, the commodification of life, and the guilt and grief that haunt many parents. Yet, amidst the weight of these truths, they offer hope—redemption through Christ and trust in God's sovereign plan for family and children.

This episode doesn’t shy away from hard truths or tough conversations. With boldness and biblical clarity, Joseph and Ben challenge the status quo, offering a manly, uncompromising perspective on honoring life and God’s design. If you’re ready for a no-nonsense, unapologetic take on the fight for life and the future of families, tune in to The Patriarchy Podcast.

Looking over the past videos and noticing the stark difference with Pastor Spurgeon losing weight and building up his health brought up the need for a reminder during this Advent season. Men take care of your health!

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 - Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.

3 John 1:2 - Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.

Proverbs 3:7-8 -
Do not be wise in your own eyes;
fear the Lord and shun evil.
This will bring health to your body
and nourishment to your bones.

1 Timothy 4:8 - For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.

Do not let the excuse of the holiday season with all its sugary splendor be an excuse to neglect taking care of your body, mind and spirit. After all you were made in the image of our Lord and he wants you to live a long healthy life to glorify Him.

In this episode of The Patriarchy Podcast, Pastor Joseph Spurgeon interviews Andrew Isker, discussing the intersection of Christian nationalism and cultural themes. The conversation explores the definition of Christian nationalism, its historical context, and the cultural shifts that have occurred in America post-World War II. Isker emphasizes the importance of nations being self-consciously Christian and critiques the secularization of American culture, while also comparing his views with those of Stephen Wolf. This conversation delves into the historical and cultural implications of post-war Germany, the social re-engineering that took place in West Germany, and the resulting shame felt by its citizens. It explores the concept of Christian nationalism, its controversies, and the challenges faced by pastors in guiding their congregations amidst a rapidly changing political landscape. The discussion also touches on theological debates surrounding Romans 11 and the implications for understanding Jewish identity in a modern context. In this conversation, Andrew Isker and Joseph discuss the theological implications of Israel's role in God's plan, contrasting dispensationalism with covenant theology. They explore the future of Israel and the church, the impact of secularism on identity, and the importance of evangelism within the Jewish community. The discussion also addresses pastoral concerns regarding anti-Semitism and the need for a humble approach to cultural and spiritual enemies, emphasizing the significance of personal repentance and faithful Christian living.
