Hey gamers,
The Worlds 2021 theme just premiered, featuring one of my favorite artists PVRIS (who I have used in a few of my GW2 videos and will be using again soon!)
Been waiting for a song to hit that same high that "Rise" hit - and while I like this track, as much as I also liked the others - "Rise" is still the bar for me in music as well as animation for the video. Just absolute perfection. This one did take a shift into that same style of animation in the last minute or so of the video.

Workin hard or hardly workin? JUST ANOTHER DAY IN PARADISE! Listen you know the deal I hope, new Guild Wars 2 video, even if you don't play it really helps get the video into the eyes of the target audience when you click it and let it play all the way through, thumbs up and subscribes are always super helpful if you aren't already.

Back to back BR wins for the first time! With a DC in the 2nd game, nonetheless. Obviously I def got carried a good bit, but I feel good about contributing and getting some solo kills. Even had a finisher both games and got the final kill in the first game (I actually got knocked in the final push in the 2nd game in a 2v3 but I had the leggo self rez shield)

In just under 2 weeks, we'll be at the one year mark since I released my first Ghost Among You GW2 video - my only video to literally blow any expectation I've ever had away as far as performance / clicks and sustained viewing. It's just over 6500 views and still gets clicks and views to this day.

Well, I've finally surpassed that pace with my most recent video, Ghost Among You 4, which after a middle-of-the-pack first couple of days, has overtaken the first Ghost video in pace by over 100 views. It's also by far my best performing video in the likes / dislikes ratio.

Of course, as I have always said, I have no illusions of being a "YouTuber" - especially since the type of video I most enjoy making is something that will never be monetizable and isn't exactly super popular. Still, it's rewarding to see a video do well in the manner which it is.

I'll be dropping another GW2 video with even more crazy editing (without being overedited, hopefully) and more good music next Saturday, the 21st, which will be 1 day shy of a full year from Ghost 1. Hope to see you there for the new video. The new video is a sort of homage to the 80s, the cult classic anime Akira, and the music / videos of The Weeknd. Gonna be hype!

Have you subbed to my YouTube channel? It's been picking up a few subs here and there since putting the new video, and we're getting close to 130 subs. These are, obviously, drop in the pond numbers to some people. But since I'm not a "YouTuber" per se, even getting 1 sub here and there is really cool for me.

I'd love to try to hit 200 subs by the end of the year. If you haven't already, give your boy some love, all you need is a YouTube (aka Google) account.

Hey gamers, I'm curious about something kind of specific:

If you play any online multiplayer game that has a ranked component, do you play ranked games, and if not, is there something specific that keeps you from playing ranked, or something about the ranked experience that you specifically don't like?

One thing that has always SUPER bothered me about ranked League of Legends is the hidden aspect of ranked matchmaking and gains / losses to your LP (ranked points) - of course, I can understand the need for it, and maybe even the need for the hidden aspect of it.

But it always seems weird to see players who have less games played and a much lower win rate be significantly higher than I am in their rank. It makes it feel a little pointless to constantly work towards being a better player when you see people whose stats are lower but rank is higher and not be able to tell why.

What do you think?

Nice! Wifey and I went for a little day date today (shout out to her, nice afternoon!) and when I got home, pulled up the League client and got an unexpected ranked reward from the last season of TFT. Also hit Gold in Wild Rift about a week ago and got the Glorious Jinx skin (although I've since fallen out of gold BECAUSE OF MY TEAMMATES I SWEAR)

Hey everyone, still here! Here in the... internet sense.

Wifey and I recently had a pretty huge life change, and part of that is we are now living much further up in the mountains. And while it's incredible up here, beautiful, the whole "fresh mountain air" effect, the drawback is the best internet available as far as I can see is DSL - so I'm lucky to get 15 Mbps down steady.

I'm not sure I can really work on actually recording for any new montages for a while. It does seem a little hit or miss from time to time - I've gotten as much as 20 Mbps and as little as under 1. I guess there's a possibility Starlink (Elon Musk internet) may go live in our area mid / late this year, but a lot may be up in the air by then.

Anyway, in the meantime, I'm grateful to have Wild Rift (League mobile) where I'm currently Silver 2 and grinding up. I'll keep up with this page still, using FB and social media isn't TOO terrible. I'll also be studying new editing techniques and tricks, so when I can film some decent clips, you'll all be in for a treat.

My goal for this year is to try to get 200 subs on YouTube by the end of the year. Happy International Women's day!
Things have been slow here on the FB gaming page while I've been busy doing more backend stuff for making more GW2 content (such as getting new characters ready) as well as RL business.

Not sure when the next big release will be, but it shouldn't be too long. Did you get to check out my last GW2 video, "A STORM OF BLADES" - you can find it on my YouTube if you didn't! It is, I will say - one of my better videos as far as the editing and pacing of the editing. Especially the transition into the 2nd scene, the first 2 clips in the 2nd scene (song) never fail to get me SO HYPE.
