Marketing & Branding should create an experience or connect to an emotion.

During my last few years owning Kryptonite I would find myself obsessed with marketing analytics, creating video, content, and promotional items.

Promotional Items like T-Shirts, Hats, Glassware, Signage and more became the greatest asset in my business and created a unique way to distinguish my business and allowed for me to connect with a community. I had no idea when I began printing T-Shirts for my staff or later when I made some for actual customers during On The Waterfront over 15 years ago. I was excited to have my logo on a T-shirt. The funny thing is, it’s almost 18 years later since then it’s become one of my greatest strengths in growing my business, my identity and my clients as well.

Promotional Products are such a unique tangible and connectable way of marketing to fans, customers, friends, community and more in such a way that can even add value or create emotional responses to those who have them years later. You cannot reach into your wardrobe and pull out your favorite comfy TV ad, or radio ad... but you can find your favorite T-Shirt from a concert you attended or event you went to... and wrap up in the memory of the good times then and the community of people “who get it” like a more effective name badge at a meeting. It can build instant community with strangers at times, and be fashionable at the same time.

But promotional products are only one part of the equation. You need good content across the board. Or as I like to call it... taking a 360 degree approach to how you are marketing and branding your business or event. that you need key tools, that allow you to track results, understand what you are doing right, what you need to adjust and allows you the ability to get results you can understand in a few seconds.
