Happy Black Maternal Health Week.
I am blessed to have had a wonderful prenatal and birthing team that took care of me from start to finish. They helped bring my little love into this world safely, and had so much patience doing it. I can truly say that I received the BEST CARE, which may not be the case for our other sisters of color. You are your biggest ADVOCATE. ADVOCATE for yourself if something is wrong. If they ignore your concerns or questions have them document that they ignore you in your chart.
My prayer is that all women of color, especially our black women, receive top notch Prenatal and Postnatal care going forward!
We as women are amazing. We have the capability to bring life into this world! We deserve nothing but the best care for ourselves and babies!
