RUDY IS RIGHT!

The more I hear from Rudy Giuliani the more I like him. He knows what he's talking about. He's right about the need to indict and prosecute Hillary Clinton and her partisan FBI enablers. Trump failed to do that. And we need to go after the Biden Crime Family too. Maybe in addition to getting Mark Levin as Attorney general, we need Rudy as one of his deputies to help organize the prosecutions.

The U.S. was not exceptional because it had plantation slavery for several decades (1789 to 1865). No, the United States was hardly unique in having slavery earlier in its history. Slavery♥cvl/nexisted all over the world for thousands of years.

The U.S.A. is exceptional because the Lockean Whig principles with which the U.S. Republic was founded necessarily made the end of slavery inevitable, one way or another. Had it not been abolished by the War Between the States, it would have been abandoned sooner or later anyway as a growing, glaring incompatibility with America's founding documents and principles.

The Three Broad Philosophic Approaches

An admitted over-simplification, there are three broad approaches in philosophy (ontology & epistemology):

1. Skeptic/Subjectivist/Relativist Approach -- Nothing exists, and even if it did you could never know it because your senses distort our apprehension of reality.

2. Idealist/Mystical Approach (Pythagoras, Plato, Plotinas, Augustine, Kant) -- There are two worlds, the real world of Numerals or Forms or Spirit, and the world we perceive by our senses which is a distorted reflection of the real world.

3. Objectivist/Rational Approach (Aristotle, Aquinas, Bacon, Ockham, Rand) -- There is only one reality and its natural laws prevail everywhere. Our sense organs do not distort reality or deceive us, but our minds must correctly interpret and identify what our senses present to us if our knowledge is to be true. Human knowledge is conceptual, and rational rules and logic must be followed to avoid errors in concept formation. But concept formation is not instinctive or automatic; it involves choices -- volition -- and mistakes can be made and do happen because humans are fallible.

LEFT AND RIGHT POPULISM

One of the characteristics of "populism" is the shared view or belief among regular folks that they are in some sense dispossessed from their rightful inheritance of constitutional liberties as Americans by a global elite or conspiracy of wealthy elitists who wish to become the ruling society of the world. I hasten to observe there are very good reasons for this belief and anti-elitist attitude, as there ARE people who do consider themselves a ruling elite who very much desire the power to impose their nutty ideas on the rest of humanity for our own good, of corse. They see their mission as valiantly trying to save the human species from itself.

There are leftist populists who see the elite or global establishment as a "capitalist" group who keep the regular folk down and foil all left-wing movements and causes when they arise. Remember how some leftists during the Bush Administration used to portray Dick Cheney (supposedly a "neocon" leader) as the second coming of Darth Vader? That was part of this view that the elitist conspiracy is "right wing" or capitalist; but, as it turns out, Cheney was not very "right wing" or conservative after all when push comes to shove. (Whether or not he is a "neocon" is aa separate issue.)

This view is absurd since market capatalism is based on and depends on such institutions as the sanctity of private property, contract law, limited government, and the freedom to innovate. If the goal of such an elitist group is CONTROL (as it really is), then it would not be in its interest to support constitutional republics and a policy of laissez faire. Rather, such a group of would-be global meddlers actually pushes for more intrusive regimes and governments with no limits to their authority so they can be used to run interference for the members of the elite to gain special privileges and monopolistic benefits through government intervention against the market alternatives that would otherwise arise in a capitalist marketplace.

It is interventionism and socialism that are the real roads to monopoly power, after all. The global elitists are socialists 00 at least for everybody but themselves. Consider John Kerry. He has been a leftist all his life and has apparently supplanted Al Gore as the face of climate change alarmism. He wants more government, not less.

What could be more monopolistic than socialism? The government owns and controls all the major industries -- and the elitists behind the scenes own or control the government and use it as sort of a "holding company" through which they can operate to control markets for their benefit. No competition allowed. Everybody must go to the government store to stand in line for their food.

A 14-year-old science fair participant managed to get over 100 signatures on a petition to ban "dehydrogen monoxide" -- water! Apparently it sounded like a dangerous pollutant causing global warming.

Another petition got college students to demand putrting the supposedly beleaguered triceratops on the Endangered Species List -- even though that dinosaur has been extinct for millions of years.

Is it any wonder why so many college students and other young people fall for the lies and pseudo-science hysteria of "liberals" and leftists? Is it any wonder why so many people believe carbon dioxide exists in dangerously high levels in our atmosphere -- even though it is essential to green plants and trees for photosynthesis to take place so that oxygen can be produced for humans and animals to breathe.

GUNS, SELF DEFENSE, AND LIBERTY

The Supreme Court's ruling in the Bruen decision reaffirms the constitutional right of peaceful citizens to carry fi****ms in public or private places. But New York and California still try to get around this landmark ruling. In southern California a peaceful citizen can be arrested and have his gun confiscated by police even though it is totally illegal to do so. The cop views it as an easy collar, knowing that most law-abiding people will plead guilty just to get on with their lives, especially if they don't have the financial resources to fight it in court. So, the battle for our constitutonal rights continues with eternal vigilance for threats to our liberties when they arise.

Other ways that Donald Trump could bring industries back to our country is to abolish the EPA and its regulations. This would greatly reduce the costs of doing business in America. Currently, other countries don't have the onerous environmental controls and regulations that burden the U.S. economy -- so the costs of doing business in those foreign countries are lower than in the U.S. and thereby attract industry. Abolish Nixon's APA and that would go a long way to solve that problem.

SLAVERY MYTHS
First, less than 20% of all Southerners owned any slaves -- and that included many black people who became slave owners in their own plantations in the American South, as in the Carribean. That's right: blacks owned other blacks as slaves. So, the institution of slavery was by no means a monopoly of whites. But the neoMarxist Left weaves a false racist narrative that slavery was unique to America and that it was imposed exclusively by whites upon black people. Not true. (Think what that fact does to "reparations" calculations!)
Moreover, one should really ask if immediate and unconditional abolition of all slavery, as abolitionists advocated, was the correct or best solution to end that terrible situation. Such an abrupt social change resulted in many former slaves being suddenly thrown into unemployment and poverty, often resorting to robbery to survive, with little preparation or training to join the non-slavery economy. Some chose to stay on with their former owners as plantatoin work was what they knew best. Others became share croppers and built new lives farming the land. But, looking back, one may well wonder if the transition from slavery to freedom could have been made smoother and more organized than the social disruption that the South suffered.
The truth is that slavery has been around for thousands of years and involve people of various ethnicities. It exists today in parts of northern Africa. It was the more capitalist Britain and United States who were among the earliest countries to abolish slavery, contrary to what leftists wold have you believe.

A MORE EFFECTIVE ALTERNATIVE
A BAN is an across-the-board LEGAL PROHIBITION agaionst specific items being smuggled into the country/ What would be a greater disincentive -- a fine of up to $100,000 and/or prison rime Versus a measly import tax? If something is a genuine danger to national security and military preparedness, why not use an effective ban instead of pretending it is a "trade"
issue? If national security is not threatened, I don't see why American consumers should not have the option of benefiting from a foreign regime's largesse. After all, no gov't can afdford to continue to subsidize its exporters indefinitely. It is a cost that burdens that country's economy while benefiting ours.

Kamala Harris TV ads claim that Donald Trump wants to cut taxes only for "his billionaire friends"! But everyone knows Trump advocates no tax on tips -- and billionaires don't get tips. No tax on overtime pay. Billionaires don't get paid for working overtime. And tax breaks on car loans. These are all tax cuts that affect middle-income Americans. And, when he was president before, Trump's tax cuts relieved middle0class workers more than millionaires and billionaires. As usual, the Dems are using envy and bigotry against those who earn "too much" to divide Americans and appeal to those who believe falsely that if only we taxed billionaires more that we could lower the burden on everyone else. Math shows us that even if we taxed all billionaires 100% that would bring in only enough revenue to run the federal government for 8 months, and than that source would be gone..
