Did you know that we have a Penguin at our station? That's the name of the space suit I'm wearing in the photo. In zero gravity, it gives the body a load similar to that on Earth. Two hours a day in the Penguin suit helps astronauts return to Earth, albeit weak, but healthy. By the way, this is an invention of our scientists, and it is useful not only in space. On Earth, the suit helps patients restore their bodies after a stroke. It’s just that on this flight I didn’t use it; all the exercise equipment on board worked perfectly, and I exercised for 2 hours a day with full dedication. •

Time spins away quickly - 10 years have passed since the first expedition to the International Space Station! I vividly remember that November day, the heavy snowfall and blizzard before the flight and during the launch of the carrier rocket.

A lot has changed since then: three modifications of Soyuz spacecraft, three new schemes of approaching the ISS, new configuration of the station, even more interesting scientific experiments. A lot more interesting things to come... The flight continues!

Bon appetit to all of you who are now eating! This is our lunch today:

As you know, meals aboard the International Space Station are divided into canned, freeze-dried and vacuum-packed. Why so? The food must have a long shelf life and not spoil during the flight.

Before the flight, we select the dishes on Earth, then they are cooked, freeze-dried in vacuum and packed in special packages. Already on the ISS, all we have to do is to fill the sublimates with hot water and heat up the cans.

The transfer of authority happens during the traditional official ceremony. The active commander gives the new one a symbolic key of the station, a copy of the handle opening the hatches to the Russian segment.
