TARLAC City Mayor Cristy Angeles, together with City Councilor KT Angeles, Tourism Council Chairman Emerson Sicangco, Mr. Vic Angeles, and Ms. Sasha Juli Belle Lacuna, the reigning Miss Tarlac City and Binibining Kanlahi 2024 led the ribbon cutting ceremony of the 26th Tarlac City Charter Anniversary Trade Fair last April 14.
Sixty-six booths are allocated for Tarlaqueños to choose from in this much awaited food and trade fair and banchetto featuring ensaymada, empanada, shawarma, barbeque, pizza, milk tea and more.
The Trade Fair is open to the public daily from 5:00 PM onwards until April 21 and a live band performance every night.
One of the highlights of the said opening ceremony was the awarding of Best Dressed Booth Competition under the supervision of the City Cooperative and Enterprise Development Office (𝗖𝗖𝗘𝗗𝗢) headed by Dr. Mina Tañedo
Judges were former City Tourism Head Mr. Wilfredo Toldanes, Engr. Michelle Rivera and Ms. Jenny Cariño of Smart Communications, Inc..
Placing first was RRG Jaks Surplus (Rommel Garcia). Placing second and third place respectively were MINEGELBY Food Products (Minerva Reyes) and Casa Cochica (Ira Que).---𝐉𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐀. 𝐌. 𝐂𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐮

𝐓𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐚𝐜 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐁𝐛. 𝐊𝐚𝐧𝐥𝐚𝐡𝐢 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒

AFTER more than a month of grueling competition that showcased their respective beauties, talents and abilities, Sasha Juli Belle Lacuna of Tarlac City was crowned the 2024 Binibining Kanlahi in a lavish pageant night held at the historic Maria Cristina Park, evening of March 7.
By being crowned winner, Lacuna will represent the province in the prestigious 2025 Miss Universe-Philippines pageant. Placing first runner-up to the Tarlac lass is Anao’s Jean Grai de Jesus, second runner-up went to Cayenei Cortez of Paniqui, third runner-up is Concepcion’s Angel Gutierrez while La Paz’ Izzy Wilson placed fourth runner-up.
De Jesus and Cortez will likewise represent the province to the Miss Philippines 2024 and Miss Pearl of the Orient Philippines 2024 beauty pageant respectively.
Lacuna received a cash price of ₱100,000 from the Provincial Government of Tarlac (𝗣𝗚𝗧) and was likewise awarded Unicharm Hygienic products, and gift certificates from Flowers Republic, Basilico Restaurant, Bella Plaza, Comi Café, Virglow Hub Nail and Lashes, Grass and Shades Hotel and Glamping Resort, JCI Skin Clinic Services, Jewel Aesthetics Solution Service, Cruz-Mejia Dental Clinic Services, Summer Smith Jewelry, personality development training from Gouldian Training & Events Services and cash prize from CER Eagles Reality Development.
For placing first runner-up, De Jesus received ₱50,000 from 𝗣𝗚𝗧, gift certificates from Flowers Republic, VirGlow Hub Nails and Lashes, JCI Skin Clinic and Jewel Aesthetics Solutions. Cortez meanwhile received ₱40,000 from 𝗣𝗚𝗧, gift certificates from Flowers Republic, VirGlow Hub Nails and Lashes, JCI Skin Clinic, and services from Jewel Aesthetics Solutions. Gutierrez and Wilson received cash price of ₱30,000 and ₱20,000 respectively and gift certificates from Flowers Republic and VirGlow Hub Nails and Lashes.
Aside from being crowned Binibining Kanlahii, Lacuna was likewise named Binibining Beauty Lounge, Binibining L Square, Binibining Destino Brew Bar and Binibining Wild Spices Café.
Best in Evening Gown, Binibining Kart City, Binibining Hey Brew, Binibining Ameia and Binibining Flowers Republic went to Wilson; Best in Talent, Binibining Photogenic and Binibining Arraboo Queens were the special awards garnered by Gutierrez; Angelica Cassandra Santos of Ramos was named Binibining Stella Resturante, Binibining SCC, Dito Texter’s Choice and Best in Swim wear; Binibining Personality went to Cortez; Best in Ethnic Costume is Bamban’s Sophia Francine Barles and Binibining Friendship went to Justine Cabatbat of Capas.
Named Face of the Night was San Manuel’s Loucille Allaine Bergado while Bea Esguerra of Sta. Ignacia, Ryan Lara of Tarlac City and Abby Valete of Mayantoc were awarded as best designers.
Governor Susan Yap in her message thanked all those who supported the 8th KanLahi Festival and congratulated all the winners of the Binibining Kanlahi.
“I would like to thank all of you who supported our 8th Kanlahi Festival. Congratulations to all the winners as all of you deserve to crowned Binibining Kanlahi because of your abilities, beauty and intellect. Thank you to our mayors, vice mayors and local government officials for being here tonight,” the governor said.
Other candidates who vied for the title were Sta. Ignacia’s Fiona Janae Ong, San Clemente’s Eunicia Veron Cabugwang, San Jose’s Ferlie Mae Marilla, Mayantoc’s Sofia Bautista, Victoria’s Lauraine Logente, Camiling’s Shekinah Fernandez, Moncada’s Prince Nicole Buenavidez, Pura’s Naomi Coleen Santiago and Gerona’s Kimberley Bulosan.
All Candidates received services from Virglow Hub Nails and Lashes, Unicharm Hygienic Products, Katinko Products and Gift Certificate from Arraboo kebab shawarma biryani.
The pageant night was hosted by actor and singer Tom Rodriguez and Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Bea Gomez. Judges were Mister Supranational Philippines 2023 Johannes Rissler, President & Creative Director Jonas Gaffud, Miss Supranational Philippines 2024 Alethea Ambrosio, Mister International Philippines 2024 Justin Ong, Cherrilyn Rivera, Lailyn Zhu, Bea Araneta, Abby Watabe and Summer Smith.@
