Throughout the process, how did I see it start affecting the community?
The Lennox community began to glow- there was this enthusiasm and excitement that started unifying people. The moment I painted the wall purple, there was a buzz that created an overflow of anticipation on what my next move would be. It was really special to see a multigenerational audience react to this unexpected mural and finally have something to look forward to that was right outside of their doorstep.

Back in January 2021, I finally decided to walk around my neighborhood, film camera in hand to document the place i’ve always called home. My mission for my personal project has been to capture Lennox’s unique beauty and identity, and to share it with anyone looking to appreciate a community that’s been often overlooked and disregarded. I’ve held onto these pictures for quite a few years thinking that in that time I would’ve come up with the best way to share my efforts to honor Lennox, a place that is so special to me. The truth is i haven’t and idk if i ever will, but i do know that these pictures mean a lot more shared with the world. So for all my Lennox natives, as I get back to sharing pics of our beautiful city, I hope I capture its beauty and I make our city proud. Always proud to be from here!
